Some members have asked what components of the ZM4 rifles are manfactured at DSA. We make most of the rifle in house at our two plants. The remaining parts are unlikely to be made by us in the near future. We buy springs(all companies do) and most of the stampings, pins/screws, bolts and hand guards.
THIS IS A COMPLETE LIST. If you do not see it on here, we do not make it at our own place. That said, we do have stamping houses and plastic molders that we are partners with that make stuff just for us. Of course we buy raw materials like upper and lower forgings to machine into a finished part, but because its just material at that point it is on this list. lower receiver (we haven’t used LMT since fall of 2008) upper receiver buffer tube buffer lock ring hammer trigger bolt catch M4 stock (we own the tooling and mold like most companies) M4 stock metal barrels( processed, fluted, etc., we buy the blanks and profiled barrels as well like most companies) buffer detent take down detents take down pin pivot pin trigger/hammer pins front sight front detent delta ring barrel nut front sight tower gas tube forward assist charging handle cam pin windage knob windage screw elevation knob carriers in light production We do supply many manufactures and are wanting to supply more, but cannot release the names of the companies as per their wishes.
