I'm not one for posting in forums... Certainly not one who posts images on forums...
However, I'm posting here in the DSA forum as a Mahalo (thank you) to the guys and gals at DSA.

Yes, I had to wait a couple of weeks for my packages... and yes, I did get anxious and a bit frustrated at times...
But the customer service and the always pleasant and cheerful people at DSA (Nicole, Jessica, Don) made my buying experience pleasant and took the sting out of the wait.

I purchased a nitride middy upper, complete lower, bcg, and ch and assembled it to this (Note ambi-safety, Magpul ASAP, MBUS, and B.A.D. were add ons ):

The upper looks great, has a nice finish, and (aside from the handguards) is very well built:

The gas key is very well staked, and both the bolt and charging handle slide easily and smoothly in the upper:

The lower matches the upper perfectly. Fit and finish is very nice, M4 style stock (that was included) is solid, trigger is crisp, and I love the pictograph safety and fire marks (that are printed on both sides):

Looking forward to doing more business with you in the near future.
Thanks again, DSA!
(apologies for the low pic quality... oil all over the place and lots of lint from the rifle case)

Beautiful. DSA has to do something about the loose cheap handguards though. Right now that's the only thing preventing me from buying another upper from them.
Oh really now?

IMHO, The loose handguards are not really a big deal as Magpul has a great solution to this issue via MOE handguard that was released at SHOT.

True but I already spent my money and should not have to spend more to rectify an obvious deficiency if i choose too keep my upper stock. That was what I planned to do. Now I have to spend money to buy handguards that fit correctly.
Oh really now?

Finally saw the add from Magpul for the MOE hgs. I can not get the catalog to download on my old laptop, but lets say the old laptop will have to keep pulling its weight for a while.
Man, I want to go shoot mine tomorrow.

Umm... Handguards are the last thing that would keep me from buying an upper. JMHO

Have you felt the hand guards on mid-length RRA rifles? It seems only Cav arms are making hand guards that aren't loose and cheap feeling. Notice companies like BCM do not include the hand guards at all.

This will not be an issue with the new MOE guards coming out.

Handy little carbine. The M44 is a combination flash bang grenade, flame thrower, rifle and spear all in one.

Thank you for hooking us up with an affordable product!
Questions about your Spartan lowers - are the roll marks on the receiver filled in to match the engraving on the opposite side of the mag well? The image on the website has a Spartan lower with "fire" and "safe" marks on it... does it come with these markings, or pictograph marks like the non-spartan lower that was shipped to me (and are they filled in, or left black)? Lastly, are these available as fully assembled lowers, and if they are, how many clams am I looking at spending to get one?

...Just planning ahead for when DSA releases their 20" upper ...

Are they releasing a 20" or is it wishful thinking? Hopefully this is something in the works cause I need a 20". Nice review BTW...thanks for that!

This rifle shoots as well as it looks. Much more accurate that I am

Appreciate the kind words guys. I should've actually took the time to wipe the lint off of the rifle before I started snapping the pics though....

DSA, Hello,

I want to buy one of your 16" mid length uppers and put an Adams Arms piston system on it. Is your barrel .750" and 2.0" long under theFGB sight? If so I want one make that two.

TIA

You wont be disappointed. I bought a stripped DSA upper to start another project and will continue to buy from them in the future

Hawaii

I'm sure I won't be dissapointed with their product. I was looking to see if their barrel was the standard .750 under the FSB gas block area. Maybe you could measure your AR and see what it measures. TIA Jerry
