So I had a thread not long ago where my PA10 gen2 would not seat Pmags properly (spine hump would hit lower mag well before seating).
This is what it looked like with Pmags out of the box (notice how the squared off rear mag well hit the spine bump on the Pmag, to the point it would gouge the Pmag):
After (seemingly) some resistance from PSA to issue a return tag (but they eventually did), claiming they have tested these mags in this design... I decided to fix it myself (and save myself the wait time).
This is how I did it. I filed on just the rear spine section of the mag well with a fine file. Beveling the area into a more roundish cutout (instead of the squared cut they had), with emphasis on the exterior portion (trigger guard lip area). It came out fantastic and Pmags function properly now (have a little up/down/side play, as a mag should). You can even see the gouges on the mag that the unmodified receiver left.
This is how it looks NOW:
And this is how it NOW looks without mag (notice it's a curved bevel, rather than their squared cut bevel). This is how it SHOULD have come from PSA (if they expect these to work with G3 Pmags). The shiny edge just looks that way from the light because it's now smooth there. 3 applications of Aluma-black has it looking identical shade/color to the black anodizing, as in the above pic. This is NOW:
So, I hope this helps anyone with a PA10 gen2 that is finding Pmags hard to seat (properly, without gouging your mags) and how to resolve the issue quickly and easily (took about 15 mins of careful filing, and a few more for Aluma-black coats).
And PSA... you may want to take a closer look at your receivers going out, as I'm sure most are just like mine was. They are NOT properly designed to work with Pmags (no, slamming them in to seat is NOT normal). Please take the time to bevel them properly to work so others don't have to.
