I'm currently feeling like a confused 7.62x39 newb.
I ordered this upper a few weeks back:
http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-pa47-18-midlength-7-62x39mm-1-9-5-freedom-15-m-lok-upper-with-bcg-and-ch.html
Got the upper last week and upon initial inspection I noticed the carrier seems loose in the receiver. To the point that it rattles around when a gentle shake is applied to the upper assembly. I pulled the bolt and it is marked with the following:
"KS-47" and "PSA Hybrid"
I had remembered reading about the KS47 that accepts ak mags and wondered if I had accidentally ordered the wrong upper
I wanted an upper that works with standard lowers and ASC mags.
So I figured I would head off to the PSA website to figure it out and now I'm more confused. My upper is listed as a PA47 and there is no mention of the hybrid BCG in the ad. I see the hybrid being listed with the AR47 and KS47 uppers.
What is the difference between a PA47 and an AR47 or are they the same? Does the hybrid BCG typically rattle around in the upper receiver? If there is a difference between the PA47 and AR47 should I have a different BCG?
Sorry for the lame questions....just trying to figure what I bought and if its right. Thanks!
