Hey guys.
I have a buddy and his wife who I've directed to the PSA site that now want to each get
a PTAC kit in 5.56 to build some AR's.
They asked me what is different from the Freedom kit. I know ptac has
M4 barrel style but what other major differences are there?
They (PTAC kits) are pretty much good to go right?

Any PTAC riflle kit will be composed of a PTAC upper and a PSA Freedom Lower build kit. The PTAC lower build kit was discontinued.
The classic lower build kits will contain all of the standard mil-spec parts needed to complete a stripped lower receiver. The freedom lower build kits come with all the basic parts you will need to assemble a working lower. So you'll save a bit of money by purchasing our freedom series in lieu of the classic or defender kits. The defender kits will come with a few slightly upgraded parts such as the ambidextrous safety and double loop latch plate.
Barrel profile can vary by the unit, and is usually listed in the item's description. PTAC uppers will not have a logo and may not have t-marks. The barrels usually have a mil-spec finish.
Freedom Uppers have a more desirable nitride or Melonite finished steel, or stainless steel barrels.
