OK finally got to try my rifle out.
Works like a champ. I bought the 18" middy PA-10. SS bbl with NiB BCG. Put about 100 rounds through it today. No chipping whatsoever on the bolt lugs and the carrier wiped clean easily. I ran her wet, probably a little too wet but it functioned fine. I shot some real blemished CBC ammo that felt a little rough on the casing and they shot well. I must say at first there is a little resistance to chamber the CBC but I attribute that to the cases being dirty and having a rough surface. I won't tumble them but I may take a little steel wool to the OD and smooth the casings out. Also ran some of the Federal Ammo that Palmetto sells and shot fine. Even shot a few boxes of Herter's steel case ammo.
Next time I will shoot for groups but it ran fine.
Pros: it's a 700 dollar AR-10 clone
Cons: Not a big fan of the collapsible stock, rough ammo made the recoil spring seem weak to strip/feed the next round, heavy, still anxious over magpul mags.
I know I listed more cons than pros but don't get me wrong, it's a good rifle for the money. Shooting good clean ammo helped with the feeding, Ejected everything that chambered, would prefer metal mags (DPMS metal?)
Ate brass and steel cased ammo, Others have replaced the collapsible stock with a fixed stock. Any "problems" with this rifle can be easily resolved. I would buy it again.
