an a2 / government profile would have a small step about the last 3/4". this looks like it is .750" all the way to the threads. i would say "heavy" could be the word to describe it.
being short it should balance pretty good.

while the angle of the upper may be both of our problems, look at the barely noticeable step down from the .750 gas block "area". it also looks like that flash hider is loose as the washer extends on the bottom, and half of the side but not the top.
i will stick with my .750 to the threads (maybe it's .749") but it is no lightweight, and it doesn't have the finial step of an a2 / government profile.
maybe this is some kind of new fangled "a2 / government modified profile" all the cool kids are doing, but those are usually tapered pretty sharply between gas block and muzzle.
either way op i think you will be happy with it, my sbr upper is an old 7.5" dpms kitty kat (hbar) it balances perfect, this on should balance nice also.
