Having just bought an A2 stripped upper with upper parts kit direct from DPMS some 4 or 5 months back, just to have one to build in the future, I would be in for a more affordable PSA offering.
I will add, that a couple years back I picked up an upper A2 upper receiver (with assist, door, sight, etc) for $60 off the EE. I knew it was a good price, but did not realize how good of a price until I went looking for another before buying the DPMS option. |

I want early A1 slickside myself but I am probably a minority. I just want to make a clone of the GUU-5P I used to carry at work.

I would buy the shit out of A2 uppers that is for sure. A full PSA upper would get my money too.

Well, the A2 upper I had built into a PSA rifle has been pulled for use with a Spike's Dissipator build and the original PSA upper rebuilt...and sold.
I'll be waiting to see what develops with a PSA A1/A2 upper. |

Built a PTAC and a Freedom, both with A2 buttstocks and carry handles, really wish they had A2 uppers. 50-75 bucks more for a solid carry handle (which is what the detachable carry handles cost) would inspire to build a few more.

We need an A1 or A2's.. If we need to buy all of these uppers that we can not afford to put top end optics on, we need some gosh darn Iron sights and that equals a1 or A2's! Do not ignore this segment of the market, with an all flat top catalog!

Just the upper. View Quote Personally, I want a built upper. All I ever want is irons, I've bought / built 4 A1 and 2 A2 uppers from CDNN ($50) over the last 2 years. I work to much to have time to build, I want complete uppers. I ended up buying 4 take off carry handles off eBay for $14 each just so I could use your flat top uppers. The problem is my fingers are really to big to fit through the carry handle on these things. |

Well, I have an order for a Nodak Spud A1 upper and lower for a December delivery. I ordered it in May, so you still have some time left..... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

So, I'm going to assume that an SBR A2 300BLK CHF upper is way off to the edges of the radar screen?
::le sigh:: |

Since PSA is pissing about I bought an A2 upper to complete next year. That is unless PSA gets into the A2 business?

This thread deserves a bump. Bring on the A2 uppers!!!!!!!!!!

They don't seem to be much more or less expensive than a M4 upper right now; MSRPing for around $100 and on sale for roughly half that. I'd be in around $50 for sure. Maybe a bit more. DPMS A2 upper at CDNN ETA: I'm much more interested in a complete or BCG-less gov't profile 20" A2. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

An A2 upper kit with option of 10.5 inch to 20 inch 5.56 or 300BLK barrels is what I had in mind.... Price of upper can of course reflect barrel option and with/without BCG and charging handle. They would already have the barrels, BCGs and CHs on hand for the other upper kits they sell now, and the only thing they'd have to do is build with an A2 upper instead of an M4 upper. |

i truly wonder why it has taken PSA so long to get an A2 upper receiver to market. its not like theyre hard to make / find at other manufacturers.
it surprises me. I'd be down for some PSA a2 and car16 uppers... |

As we have explained before, due to the volume of M4 receivers we sell, we are able to offer our products at very attractive price points.
A2 uppers, by our estimation, and the admission of those here, would be a very small market, and not likely to result in numbers that will allow us to offer them at the price point our customers would expect or appreciate. We will continue to explore domestic sources for these uppers and will offer them if we can find them at a price we feel our customers would like. |

I'd love to have a clone of a Vietnam era M16/AR15, rifle buttstock and triangular handguards.
