I'm not complaining. They get a lot of business, so it is expected for things to go out of stock. I mean, even AIM and Brownells is out of stock on a lot of stuff, and a lot of the reloader supply places are out of stock, but nobody is bitching like they are about PSA. If you don't have the patience to wait on PSA, just go wait for some other dealer. I waited forever for a MOE lower parts kit minus FCG. It finally showed up the other week, and I snagged it. No complaints (except that I'm still waiting on it). Same with the uppers. They'll eventually show in stock, but you have to be looking for it.

i can not speak for the op, and i love psa. however we have seen this in the past. random posters ask psa "hey psa when are chf short barreled uppers gonna come back in stock?"
poof next day they are in stock, same with carry handles, 20" uppers, ect.
same as the situation i mentioned in this thread, customer "when are bcgs gonna be in stock? psa "no eta, keep checking back." 2 days later poof they have been ordered, made,
shipped to psa, and now ready to be shipped to end user.
in the past i chalked it up to things that don't sell fast, so it would make sense to "create a demand" for these items by limiting supply (this is a business tactic used by some businesses).
in the past i didn't think much about it as it seemed to only be for obscure items, but now it "seems" as it is happening with normal things ie; standard bolt carrier groups, standard lpks,
lower build kits, non chf carbine uppers.
the list is starting to get pretty big. to a person on the outside who has been through this before with other companies (as a customer) it worries me. this usually happens when a company
wants to steer its customer base in a specific direction. the way it looks from my screen is psa wants me to buy coated bolt carrier groups, stainless or chf barrels, and magpul stocks / grips,
and enhanced triggers. while i am sure they are all fantastic products, this is not the type of rifle i am interested in.
like most good companies psa is growing and growing very fast, i just hope they don't leave the little guy who only buys a few fn "non chf" carbine uppers (part #7557) a year, with "standard"
premium lower build kits, and "standard" premium bolt carrier groups.
