Anybody tried any off the shelf factory hunting loads like Rem Core Lokt or Federal Fusion in 150 gr? I havent had a chance to shoot mine yet and was going to start with the cheap white box fmj stuff I ordered from PSA with the rifle. I have alot of the Rem Core Lokt's I use for hunting with my TC Encore.

I did try a box of 150gr fusions and some Core-Lockt I had in the bottom the .308 stash, it did not like them one bit. One thing I did notice was that I just chamberd a round when the RO called a cease fire. When I ejected the live round to clear the gun, the soft lead bullet tip was beat up pretty bad. This tells me the gun is kinda rough on soft tip bullets and of acourse that will affect concentric ballance and thus accuracy. YMMV
So far I have ran LC surp M80 ball, Fusion, Whitetail classic, M118lr, Rem Core-Lockt, BHA 168gr match, Nosler 165 BT's that were handloaded in a charge range. Mine is the 16-in carbine version (PSA kit upper and LPK with P-Tac lower) all stock, Leupold Mark AR 3-9 on a Warne Ramp mount.
Mine hated everything I have tried with 2 inch groups EXCEPT the BHA 168gr Match. It LOVES those, slightly under 1 inch at 100 yards, 100% gong ringing at 300 yards and dead center hits on the 550 yard gong. Barrel hot or cold didn't matter, it put them in the same place every time.
Now I just need to reverse engineer the recipie BHA uses (I saved one box to run over the crony) and see if I can duplicate it since BHA is over a buck a shot for factory loads.
