My good friend Joe W finally took me on a tour of his new digs in West Columbia and man is that place HUGE!
It reminded me of the final scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark where the old guy is wheeling the ark into a colossal vault: PSA rifles and other products were stacked to the ceiling in all directions. An army of builders were busy as bees putting rifles together, packing them up and stacking them on pallets as forklifts swooped in and snatched them up. I missed Gabe but I got to speak with Jamin and Jonathon for a few minutes. The 1911s are still on the back burner due to logistical issues but the AKs should hit the shelves in March with a very attractive price point. I can't wait to get one!
Jamin is acutely aware of the customer service issues and has put a plan into place to get it corrected. After speaking with him I believe he will do it. The way he explained it to me was they ship 150,000 orders a year with a 1% rate of complaints. Numerically that doesn't sound too bad except that is still 1500 complaints. And of course all 1500 vent their spleen right here on arfcom.
At any rate he and his lieutenants are chipping away at it so it should show signs of improvement in the very near future.
It truly is amazing how far this company has come from the days Jamin sold ammo on the internet from his garage.
GCO, I put in a good word for you while I was there.
And, no, I don't work for PSA.
