Just got my upper today and upon playing with it, I noticed a bit of clanging. I looked down into the handguard and noticed that there is a screw sticking out of the gas block which hits the rail when there's any amount of flex/movement in the handguard. Is this normal? Something I can fix myself? Or should it be sent back to PSA (hope not) It looks like I could get to it to tighten it if I loosened the handguard screws and slid it off then tightened it all back down.
edit - It looks like it's going in crooked. I think someone got in a bit of a hurry and stripped the threads either on the gas block or the screw itself. Will it void my warranty to pull the handguard off and look myself?
I want to say thanks to PSA for the extremely quick turn around time. In the box with the upper I also got a signed letter explaining what was wrong and what they did to fix it and a PSA sticker.
Since she's all fixed and ready to go, might as well post some pics. FDE Magul STR stock and MOE grip on the way. The Aimpoint is a "placeholder" until my other order from PSA arrives. It'll have a 1-4x24 Bushnell PCL and PEPR. I also swapped the NIB BCG into my 10.5'' AR.
And the KISS HD carbine from PSA as well
