Oakley has a line of sunglasses that some of the proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project. What about creating a dedicated lower receiver for something like that? Charge a few bucks more than the standard price with the difference being donated? I think an idea like this would be better than the nobama lower you guys posted yesterday.

Maybe have a lower for each branch of the Military - For example a Navy Seal logo on one lower. I think your idea is better than the lack of novelty nobama lowers. |

I'd buy any lower that supports the military or its veterans....especially wounded warrior. One of the best organizations out there |

I agree. I would be down for at least one right now and more in the future. I know several people that would be as well.

Now this is a good idea. I'd definitely be in for this project. Maybe even with some sort of special serial numbers. Maybe with prefixes like USAF, USN, USMC etc

Maybe have something on the selector markings related to each brand as well. Oorah and things like that. |

One of the ideas I had for the roll mark is the logo for whatever the chosen charity is. I think it would really tie everything all together.

i love this idead over the "other". wounded warrior or something similar would be best.one for each branch would just be too many options for them to actually make the money. but i would defiantly order atleast one if not more and sell my extra stripped lowers. being in the service on my 3rd deployment these would have to be the least cheesy idea ive seen. pow/mia is nice also.

Love this idea over the Nobama one. I have to say that one is cheesy and I just couldn't justify having anything in my home with his name on it.
I'm planning on picking up a couple of stripped lowers before November but would buy one of the military appreciation types in a heartbeat. |

Pfft. Palmetto makes one of the most affordable lower available without a gaudy rollmark, and everyone is boo-hooing that they aren't any cheaper, and that shipping was 7 bucks, etc. Charity lowers a few bucks more wont get bought unless regular lowers are out of stock.

You're kidding right? There are countless people on here that would pay a few dollars more to support the troops. |

They do make one of the cheaper lowers. And with the summer free shipping, even more so. But the difference in getting some silly lower with Nobo crap on it and just getting a "gaudy" lower as opposed to getting a lower with an American Flag like one poster suggested and some of the proceeds going to something like the Wounded Warrior Project? I'll spend the extra money to get what I want and make a donation to an outstanding charity that benefits my brothers and sisters in arms at the same time. Not everyone is a heartless cheap ass and I would be willing to bet PSA would sell out of those far quicker than the Nobo ones. |

There will always be a group that's complaining about something. |

You guys know you can just contribute directly to Wounded Warrior or any other charity of your choice, right?

Helps raise more awareness. I mean, I could just contribute to a breast cancer or M.S. charity too, but people make tshirts, decals, and coffee cups and such to "show off" their support. Plus the lower would look cool, if it's designed right. |

i like the idea of one for every branch.. like have the branch's insignia engraved on each one on the side where the roll mark usually is and on the other side have it done up with something related to the branch and its accomplishments or something... or even just a standard psa roll mark on the roll mark side and an engraved emblem on the other... one for each branch....
and a POW MIA one would be cool too... all the bickering and bitching about nobo is good or bad or theyre too expensive or too cheap... lets face facts here... If PSA will make the lower, i will buy it... and most likely i will buy multiples of it. repeatedly. But that's just me, and well i like to buy from, and support the local home team ;) if you make it they will shoot it palmetto :P |
