It would seem on my DPMS 20" A2 style HBAR that case neck lenght is causing stuck cases. I was shooting factory loaded PMP commercial ammo and cases were sticking in the chamber. I had to beat them out with a rod. The same case after having the neck trimmed would fit right in the chamber and extract easily but try an untrimmed fired case and it sticks. Is there a way to lengthen this portion of the chamber to ensure reliability with all ammo? Will this seriously degrade accuracy? This ammo shoots fine from my OLY carbine. Is there a suggested plinker ammo that would not have this problem with my favored HBAR DPMS? I really like the feel of this rifle and want to shoot it more.
We use a standard NATO 5.56 m16 chamber, neck, and throat, and don't have any plans of switching at this time, as there simply is no need to. Different manufacturers use different chambers, and this has worked well for us.
