Posted: 2/23/2011 12:32:53 PM Hello and welcome to the "how we do it" and "what we use" thread This is the process we use to stake the gas key on the carrier. Torque wrench, check! Carrier, check! Key and screws, check! Ready to be assembled! Torquing to 35 inch lbs... per Mil req. Placing assembly into staking fixture! Making sure everything is lined up before staking! Staking the key! Action shot of inside the "staker"! Freshly and correctly staked key! OUCH! Finished product! Now, if your carrier dosen't look like this it was not done at DPMS. This is the ONLY way we stake the gas key to the carrier. Thanks for taking the time to see how we actually do things here at DPMS!!!!
