Nothing, huh?

Glad I didn't wait... Too bad, though. The rifle they had at SHOT '11 was sweet.

I was going to wait for the AA 308 kit and I was holding out for Shot thinking they would release the kit by now. But I think I am just going to end up going with POF308.

Unless you're looking at the 20", try a PWS Mk216. That's what I went with and I LOVE it.

I was looking at the 20", but want at least 18". Haven't decided which route to go yet. PWS did come across my search for a 308 in an AR platform though until I saw they only offered <16".

SilentDeath12886, I too am looking for an 18" barreled .308 platform. I refuse to pay the over priced fee that LWRC is asking though for the REPR. It's a fine rifle, but still over priced. I figured AA would have this out by now. I doubt it's gonna happen, they have their fill with the 5.56. SIG Sauer released the Sig 716 and at a very affordable price as well. I'm looking at purchasing an AA 5.56 upper and will find a different manufacturer for my .308 needs.

They said over a year ago they were almost ready to release a 308 upper or a kit for 308 , but if getting this kit into production is anything compared their customer service lately than you can forget ever seeing it. Shot show be damned, they still need to answer their phones and conduct business. You can't fold up the tents and close the doors just because of Shot show. Just think what those people walking by the booth think knowing that customer service and product development are stopped because of Shot show. I've got one of Adams Arms carbine kits on one of my ar15 builds and a Cmmg on the other. I think maybe I need to put Cmmg kit on the other one if I want any support.

I think the reason for no 308 kit is that they are getting a pay-off from LWRC.

I have been following this for several years now. This has been what has been keeping me from buying anything else from them. I have thought about converting some other ARs that I have but I keep seeing caliber promises that dont happen. Makes me wonder about what type of support I am going to get if something breaks on the other systems. Even if they did replace something it would suck to wait 6 months for an oprod and keep hearing, next week!

Here is our UPDATE!!!

We will not be releasing anytime in the near future the .308. We do not have a time of if and when we release a .308 product.

If you're looking for an 18" piston .308 AR, try Hogan Arms.

Here is one that a competitor is putting out. It looks a lot like the adams arms system. However, they would have to actually release a product on the market to call foal.

Speaking of AA kits, is the gas tube hole on the DPMS 308 higher than a regular AR? I know the tubes are the same and everything else looks the same... Thanks.

I just built a DI, DPMS style CMMG upper and lower and used an AR15 gas block and mid length tube, so the hole should be in the same place or it would have been binding .
