Please tell me you folks have this in the works!! I keep puting off a .308 because it must have your piston system, and I don't want to buy a version/mag stem (RRA - Armalite -DPMS/KAC) that won't be compatible
. So, please tell me that my waiting will not be in vain. |

That I do not understand. All of my Bull Barrel guns are long barrels... |

This would be great for a .300BLK build. :-)
10.5 mid-length gas system would probably shoot so smooth. |

Alright Guys,
I know we have been quiet on this and have talked very little about our 308 project but we have it completed. We will be debuting it at ShotShow and I'll try to get some pictures and or video up in the next few weeks. Jim |

Are you going to be selling a complete upper too, or just the kit to go on an existing upper?
If it's just the kit, I will probably move forward with purchasing an upper soon, and then wait for the piston kit. If it is just a kit, are you anticipating being able to use it on a DPMS Lite upper (18" barrel)? |

Just got back from SHOT Show...
Looks like they're going to be offering DPMS compatible COMPLETE RIFLES and (I believe) uppers. Carbine I handled was a 16" with melonite treated barrel. I was VERY impressed all the way around... No retrofit kit right now, but one may be available for DPMS/MEGA. Take my info with a grain of salt, it's been a LONG day and right now my memory is pretty shot. I only had 10 minutes or so to hit the AA booth. |

If I wanted a non-custom gun with a non-match barrel, I would have purchased a SCAR. I bought a matched upper and lower so I could part mine together to fit my wants and budget. Now the whole allure of an AA 308 piston system has just vaporized. If I want to do it this year, I'll have to buy one of their guns and rip it apart. I hope they consider to sell parts. |

I don't think we're getting the whole picture though, I wouldn't be surprised if they were releasing a retrofit kit at the same time and this story only focused on the complete uppers. |

Suck!!!
I would need it to be a retro fit kit. Oh well, I guess the money goes back in the toy fund till I find another firearm or part for the truck... |

WTF why doesn't anyone build a retro kit, or anything for that matter, for the Armalite platform??? I want a retro kit for my (real) AR10.

The retro kit is coming. I spent about half an hour with one of the reps from Adams Arms and got quite a few questions answered. From all indications, the kits are being finalized along with the different barrel diameters within the gas block. LIke others, it is one of the items I have been waiting for.

It would be nice to hear something official for an update on what they plan to offer. I mean, this web site offers them free advertising and an opportunity to create buzz, get market research, and test the waters. Businesses pay lots of money for this type of forum, and it is unfortunate when they don't take advantage.
I guess what they say is true, if people pay for something, even if it is crap, they will cherish it. But give them something for free, no matter how valuable, and they will cast it aside. I hope they jump in here and say something other than, "yeah, we will have something some time". |
