I'm looking for a "M4" marked 6920 manufactured by "Colt Defense". Does such an animal exist?

I do know the 'M4 Carbine' and 'Colt Defense' roll-marked lowers exist, my Talo edition LT6720-R has one, but I've not seen a factory 6920 so marked as of yet... |

+1 Talo edition LT6720-R
That's the only model that I had seen so far with the M4 Carbine and Colt Defense roll markings at my local dealer and if you see clear pics from Talo Distributors Inc. you would definitely see the markings. That combination of unique roll marks is the closest to the select fire M4 carbines. |

This isn't my image or auction, but it does show the roll marks on the Talo LT6720-R...

Isn't that just the new SP6940 or SP6920 rollmark? They all say M4 on them.

The Talo LT6720-R is not only marked 'M4 Carbine' like the SP's are, it's also marked 'Colt Defense' and as far as I know the only model so marked... Here's a not so good picture of the LT6720-R Talo edition I picked up. I've got another on hold at my dealer, picking it up Friday...

I have always had the understanding that all 6920s came off the same production line.

This is a brand new production gun. Nice factory fresh AR even with lots of factory lube. That's just the picture that I'm waiting to see how the new LE6920 for 2012 are marked, since this is the only 6920 standard model shown in the new Colt 2012 catalog I would assume the SP series had been replaced by these new LE series. Even with that great new roll marks somebody still will complain maybe about the safe - fire selector markings should be safe - semi, and what about that Colt-Rogers SuperStoc should be a standard M4 type buttstock.

Ditto Predator.
Are the LE prefix guns still in production with the legalese on the other side of the magwell? I feel the need for one of those for the lower. Split the upper off to ya. ![]() |

We'll never be happy. I bought my LE6920 a month or two before the SP6920s came out. Oh, how I wanted that new roll mark! It actually said "M4 CARBINE" and I wanted it! Yeah, it said "SPORTER" also, but still, M4!! But I didn't buy a new one because I was (and still am) enjoying my LE6920, but only a few months more go by and wait! Now they don't say SPORTER? What?!?! Just M4 CARBINE? It hurts! I want it so bad. And now we're seeing these new LE6920s with the Colt Defense mark as well.... I think the others are right... We need more! Next month will I see one with the correct fire selector markings? And then coming this summer maybe we'll see the new "US GOVERNMENT PROPERTY" model with prancing pony only and stylized serpentine "Colt"? And then finally, by fall, the Hughes amendment will itself be amended and viola! Maybe, just maybe, we'll have our very own Colt M4 select fire rifles...
We're like woman, but substitute shoes and purses with guns and gun parts |

Without it, it would be like 1982 when I bought a NIB Colt m-16A1 for $549 ( plus the transfer tax), $100 more than than the Sporter 1 was selling for. |
