Started off as a standard 6920. SBR'd the lower and had Adco cut the barrel to 11.5".
Bought a 6720 upper in case I don't want to deal with the hassle of taking an SBR out of state. Nothing fancy. I believe simple is best. Standard stock, standard handguards, Daniel Defense fixed rear, Primary Arms Micro Dot, Geiselle SSA trigger, simple quick-adjust two-point sling. Oh, and A1 grip, of course. |

No, it came like that from the factory. I believe it was a very limited run 6944 upper with FSB and SOCOM barrel. There was a thread on it awhile ago; I bought it from the guy who posted the thread, and I really like it, even though it is a bit heavy. |

The person who welded it was someone who I've done business with already so I just shot him an email and he said he'd look at it. I sent the demilled front half and a complete 80% lower. Maybe a week later I had the lower in my hand; still an 80%'er but two halves welded together and he had engraved the back half for me as well to match. I did all the remaining FCG cavity milling out at home, bought all the rest of the Colt parts, sandblasted and finished it with Norrell's flat black. My first Colt 9mm AR, shoots like an absolute dream. I'll leave a few pics from my photobucket that I didn't post last night. p.s. one thing to watch for on 80% lowers is the damn detent hole for the selector, ive had two that were drilled slightly off-spec by the manufacturer and the selector switch sits slightly off, the OCD in me is driven insane by that Cheers! http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b635/htbanks1/IMG_0189_zpsjdp8m4oq.jpg http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b635/htbanks1/FullSizeRender_zpsoyynmdys.jpg http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b635/htbanks1/IMG_0874_zpsbar4wysy.jpg http://i1295.photobucket.com/albums/b635/htbanks1/5c3f153e-9b27-407b-abf6-c7a854fc906d_zpsftbwc18w.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Originally Posted By BlindguyMcSqueezie:
