Just bought my first lower (complete) at a local shop here.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I appreciate all of the openness in regards to the manufacturers you guys use.

Now to save for the upper.

They RM lowers are made by AOP. They are low shelf.

So are they milled by LAR and assembled by AOP? Or is AOP doing the full show? I've just never seen them mentioned on all the usual reciever manufacturer lists out there.

Just curious. Mine just arrived yesterday and I'm pretty impressed. Very well done. Who does the internals (everything stamped "S" and "4")?

They are Cerro forgings machined by AOP. We manufacture or source the rest of the components and do the assembly.

Just because I found it interesting....

http://aopmfg.com/facilities.htm#1

I have one of the Spikes "RM" marked stripped lowers sitting in my safe now. This is the first lower I've ever bought that wasn't made by one of the bigger more commercial companies. Normally I get Bushmaster, RRA, LMT etc but I got a REALLY good deal on this Spikes lower.

I do have a question though. I know its a feature people pay extra for but is it possible to remove the red and white coloring from the markings every easy? I think I would prefer it all black.

Thanks!

No longer being produced. May be a couple left in stock, but once they are gone they are gone. The Jolly Roger has been replaced by the Pirate lower. It has the Calico Jack logo, but not the Parley/Plunder/Argh selector markings or the "pirate" serial prefix.

Spike's family. Son's first initial (Cole), Wife's first initial (Angela), and daughters first initial (Kai).
