Every barrel should be properly broken in regardless of type. Trouble is, with the chrome lines bore, it is so hard , there is not much breaking in you can do.
Any barrel worth it's salt with regards to sccuracy os not chrome lined. Sure, a chrome lined mil-spec barrel may shoot OK, or even good, but if chrome lining was good fopr accuracy, every benchrest shooter would have one, and NONE do. They go with straight SS. Usually 416R.
Air guage any any chrome lined barrel and you'll know that the bores are less consistant in size than those that are not lined.
