Cerakote it black and since not fluting it would save them time and resources I wouldn't see where they'd be too butt hurt if someone didn't want it.

I was a little surprised that they started off with fluting instead of making it an option later being that they are the 1st to provide this product.I wouldn't write them off completely yet hopefully there are more kinds of barrels to come.

Pass on the Fluting and Non black barrel, but to each their own.

I think they went with the fluting on all the barrels b/c the weight was one of the sore points
everyone had about the ACR's in the beginning. Instead of a pencil profile, I'd prefer a fluted profile.
I wish they had them ION bonded or at least cera coated on the outside b/c a stainless barrel
on an ACR is..

I would have thought if you were the first to make an aftermarket barrel for the ACR I would not have done it in stainless. They should be doing 4150 steel, chrome-lined in 1/7 twist. Now with that you have something and they would sell the heck out of them in various lengths.

Chrome lined barrel is a STEP DOWN from the Nitro-carb barrels that are on there now. The LW50 barrel spikes is
making is more of a match grade barrel... I wouldn't call that barrel a "blaster" barrel like a chromed or NC'd barrel.

The next to last thing I want these days in a new barrel is chrome lined, now that there are other, better options available.
I'm fine with a 1/8 twist, as I won't be shooting 80+ grain bullets.... EVER.

YMMV...

Ya.... Currently saving my pennies for the 762SD-N6 from AAC when it's released. I've been following the
300 BLK over on silencertalk and it seems to be very impressive.

So has anyone picked up a phone to call Bushmaster and ask if they will sell the barrel assembly parts?

I read in another thread that BM was supposed to start offering barrels mid-2011. I'm hoping they offer lightweights with a .625 gas block...The M4 profile is just plain stupid.
