That's a bummer. If you don't mind SFP ,there are a bunch of those in stock right now at Camera Land, and Sport Optics. I found mine in stock at Camera Land NY first. I'm probably going to piss off a certain member here that has been post stalking me HI FG24U!!! and all my post about this here lately but Optics Planet is really been turning me off Lately with their lax CS. I get the feeling they might be a little understaffed there. I also think that there may be a little bit of one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing going on there. Optics Planet has been kind of hit and miss. Sometimes they're cheaper than everybody else but sometimes 30-40$ over common price. Sorry for the rant, but I better stop before FG24U starts to stroke out. I really am just trying to help here. It is a forum after all? I will digress now. The glass on my new PST gen 2 3-15x44 SFP is definitely a huge improvement over the first generation. Of course I have always been really impressed with the PST line from the get-go, if that tells you anything about this new gen 2. They are definitely heavier than the first generation, which makes me think maybe there might be some more durability added to them,, plus it may it have to do with the better quality glass being put in them now. View Quote Thanks for the input. I was looking forward to the new pst line. I think it'll be great once it's available. I'm not going to wait another 3-6mo. I've been thinking of getting a Premier or S&B and this may have pushed me over the edge. |

View Quote So your turned off of the PST 2 because you ordered from a company who is known to lie to the the customer??? How does that make sense. OP knew all along they would not be delivering to people when they said they would, thats hardly the PST 2's fault? My advise would be to start pre ordering through a reputable company. |

Let's not make a mountain out of a molehill. Time is valuable and I'll pursue another option while waiting for the Gen 2. |

Has anyone had troubles with the illumination on their 1-6 Gen II? I've had mine for 3 days the illumination already crapped the bed. Got it Friday, Zeroed it on Saturday with no problems. Had a 3 gun match today and the dot went out on the 3rd shot. I took out the battery, put it back in and made sure the cap was tight and put on proper and it still wouldn't stay illuminated. I'd turn it to an on position, it would flicker on for a moment and then nothing. No dot or anything and I couldn't do anything to get it to stay on. I've played with the Razor HD GEN II and I wonder besides the locking illumination turret, what the differences between the two are and why recoil from an 18'' AR-15 would be enough to break it?

View Quote There's no reason that it should have failed, other than it was probably defective to begin with in which I'm sure Vortex will take great care of you no matter what happened. I would only be nervous if we started seeing a whole bunch of these start coming up with the same issue. I still have yet to get out to the range with my gen 2 3-15x44 and check it out and if I have the same issue I will definitely check back in here to see what the deal is. |

I guess Vortex will be getting a call from me regarding my new PST Gen II. It's burning through batteries even when turned off. Pretty bummed.

Our pleasure - either way, we'll get it taken care of! View Quote The dial is not as mushy as my first one. It seems tighter and a little more tactile. Not a lot but noticeable. The elevation and windage turrets are a bit tighter and better aligned to the zero mark than my last one. Conversely, the magnification and diopter move easier which is another improvement. My last one was actually difficult to turn. Overall my original complaints appear resolved, pending range visits of course! In the replacement the battery won't fully seat into the pocket without pressure. It pops back out when you lift your finger, making you use the battery cover to provide the pressure to hold it down while you screw it down. Made for a slower battery install (getting the threads engaged despite pressure from the battery clips) but the last one didn't do this. I mention the difference because my original was killing batteries even when off and I speculated that maybe I'd screwed the cover down too tight. The cover on this scope, and the last, fits very tight and it doesn't "tell you" when its fully screwed on. Interestingly, it came in a slightly different box (just different coloring, more like a Diamondback series product I own) AND included a sun shade which the last one did not. Seemed a bit odd but this replacement came direct from Vortex and original was purchased from OP, whatever that means. No big deal just worth mentioning. Lastly, I used a quarter this time to install the battery cover and, being very careful, came out practically unscathed. Be great if there were hand turn options like the KAC cover for the Aimpoint micros. |

Just a heads up, Cabela's has the 3-15 FFP in stock and shipping.
I ordered mine on 4/8 and received it on 4/14. Hope this helps someone out. |

For that reason I think I'm going to get a Razor gen 1 5-20x50. I'd still like to see real world tracking results as the 3-15 FFP would be perfect for my upcoming 6.5g build. |

Does the throw lever for the razor 1-6 fit the pst 1-6? I think it should, just want to be safe.

finally got some time. Looks like I should have gotten the low mounts (these are Vortex medium precision on EGW 20moa rail), but works well with the Ruger and the cheek riser I added. And there will be no problem with lens caps not fitting like I've had before. Really impressed... glass is clear and bright, enough that I was reading the serial number on the license plate registration tag on my neighbors car. Also love that the magnification ring is easy to adjust... my Gen1 PST is so tight it's tough even with a switch lever on. With luck, shooting with it will happen Monday. |

Talk to me about the 5 x 25 ebc 2 mrad reticle for holds with 308 (175 smk)...
I'm using strelok and am confused by the numbers being off with my ranges/ velocities. Am I missing a reticle users guide or something? |

I have a 5x25 FFP MOA on pre-order at Brownells. Any ideas on when they may be getting a shipment? FYI I just got a 3x15 FFP MOA a couple of weeks ago and it is awesome.

@vortexsam
on the 1-6, if the turrets are off to say dial elevation - is the optic still waterproof (rain/humidity)? |

Which throw lever fits the PSt 1-6? The same one that fits the razor 1-6?
