I have a question about the V-Plex reticle on the Diamondback HP 2-8x32 scope, specifically with the thickness. I'm trying to figure out if it is going to be prominent enough for low light hunting applications.
I'm looking for a new optic to go on my slug gun, which is what I end up using during 90% of the deer gun season here in Virginia, due to either state/county/landowner restrictions on the properties I hunt. I want something with decent glass, low to mid range magnification (shots are typically inside of 75 yards and often closer to 25 yards), and longer eye relief.
I just sent back a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD in 1.75-6X, because while the glass/eye relief was pretty good for my use, the reticle was terribly thin and I could almost lose it in the middle of the day against my backyard. Not going to work deep in the timber at first or last light.
Further research turned up the Diamondback HP 2-8x32, which sounds awesome for my application, but the problem is I can't find one in person to check out.
Any pictures available looking through this scope? Is the reticle the same as the other Diamondback HP scopes?
