View Quote Thanks, just picked up one and a throw lever from Alan |

Just got mine and have it mounted, also picked up the lever. Very satisfied! Off to the range.........

I'm thinking about putting one of these on top of my long-bare .308 that I built a while ago.
Anyone use these in the woods for a hunting application? Experience with it? Also, what would you compare the glass quality to or what tier glass is put in it? Similar to Diamondback hp? Just got a DBHP 3-12 and love it on my 7mm-08 bolt. Thanks. |
|
I haven't used the Strike Eagle in a hunting scenario, but 1-4x PST and 1-6x Razor Gen II are excellent. Best rifle I ever used for drives/moving targets.

It's either the strike eagle or the DBHP 2-8... Either way. Vortex will be the choice of scope
|

That is awesome, thanks for sharing that with us! Glad you like it.

I finally lucked up and found a Strike Eagle in stock. I should get it early next week. Can't wait to get it mounted and run it hard.

In the Strike Eagle reticle, what's the subtension of the top of the post above the crosshair (or would that be supertension)?

Mine will be arriving tomorrow and I will be taking it out this weekend to test it. Looking forward to it.

Just ordered one from CS tactical. Ordered today and shipped today!

Sorry if this was asked previously--what butler creek cover sizes work for the Strike Eagle?

Just got mine in. I was a little worried bc on page 7 someone mentioned getting a larure spr-e mount, but I bought an LT-104 for it. The 104 is perfect if you run nose to charging handle and the mount as far forward as you can go. You could easily bring it back some.
Ill try to get pics up later. |
|
Do you think the strike eagle would be a good first optic? I've never even used a magnified optic before so I'm pretty clueless. Doubt I'll shoot past 300yds.

It's not a complicated reticle and you have the ability to shoot at 1x - 6x. At 1x, it's basically like you are using a red dot sight. |
|
Totally agree, the riflescope was inspired by the demand for a 1-6x at a lower price point than the Gen II. It would be a perfect starter 3-gun/plinker scope. Let us know if you have further questions on anything. We will be happy to help.

Does the tip of the reticle represent anything? I thought it was for 100yds; but the manual says to use the first cross hair for 20-200

According to Primary Arms, their 1-6 and the Strike Eagle is the same exact scope with a different reticle. Is this true?
"PrimaryArmsLLC3 months ago Same factory, same specs, same glass. The ACSS reticle will result in higher hit ratio out to 800 yards. The Vortex offers a better warranty.?" |

Got my Strike Eagle mounted. Spent like 20 minutes trying to make sure I had the eye relief set best I could. Still waiting on parts so it will be awhile before I shoot with it. But so far, it seems like a really nice optic.

Quoted: I have more info in the ar discussion thread but here's 2 5rd groups at 145yds using the strike eagle .... love the optic so far http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u254/appleyard777/20160117_174033_2.jpg View Quote |

The reviews seam worth the try and I hope to be purchasing a Strike Eagle before the end of March, Hopefully sooner. What are some of you guys favorite or recommended mounts?
I'm leaning towards a QD style mount and $250 would be the upper end on the budget for the mount. |
|
How does the strike eagle compare to a viper pet 1-4? Or some of vortex upper end 1-4 scopes? The more expensive scopes worth it over a strike eagle?
|
|
We'd recommend checking out the quick release mount options from American Defense Mfg. or Bobro Engineering. They make fantastic mounts and at a great price!
|
|
You'll see that the glass on the PST is better, but the Strike Eagle features an additional 2x magnification and a BDC reticle. Other than that, the PST has been in circulation for longer, so it may take a while for the Strike Eagle to gain the trust of LE and MIL professionals who have been using the PST.

Those are the flip caps that we ship with the Strike Eagle. View Quote Thanks guys! I looked at several sites and none of the descriptions list the covers. Also none of the pics show them. Placed my order today with Optics Planet. Received shipping confirmation a few hours later. I'm looking for a mount. Looks like most have a cantilever. I'm thinking 2" is about right but not sure. Any input appreciated. |

Just received mine that's mounted on a LT-139 VFZ mount. Dedicated rifle to glass so won't take it off often so QD wasn't needed.

The fact these are still back ordered says a lot. I bought mine Sept/Oct 2015 on backorder from Cabelas, received it mid October.
This scope kicks ass, I'm getting another. And probably another. |
