I mailed a sparc back on the 11th and according to USPS.com, Your Item's Status: Your item was delivered at 10:20 am on December 14, 2012 in MIDDLETON, WI 53562.
I haven't gotten any emails or status updates. The warranty form was filled out and enclosed in the box, and the sparc was in its original packaging, Please let me know what's up. |

Excellent CS! I have used it before! I am in the process of converting all of my optics over to vortex!

Didn't need to! It showed up on the front porch today while I was at work!!
Wow that was fast. Thanks guys & gals. |

No- thank you! We appreicate you choosing Vortex Optics. Enjoy! |

This policy alone just decided the optic for my first AR build.
Vortex 1-4x MOA it is for me. Bravo! |

So my rifle fell from about 6 feet up, landed pretty squarely on my 2.5-10. All my turrets seems just fine, and I have had any issues with my zero or any adjustments I make. Only thing is the illumination doesn't work anymore. Are there any at-home trouble shooting solutions I can try?
Thanks |

There are a couple options that might work before sending it in: Try tightening the battery cap down tightly with a nickel until the cap won't go tighter. It will stop hard on the top of the metal battery housing when it is tight enough. You could also try changing the battery and then tightening like I mentioned before. If none of that works, I would recommend sending it in. We would be happy to have a look at it for you. Thanks again and please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. |

Okay,
Wutt's wrong with this picture? I drop my Sig M400 (6 inches onto the work bench and it lands on the butt stock) with my Strikefire attached. I'm a klutz. Strikefire no workie no more. I ping Vortex. Thirteen (13) minutes go by and I've received a response from Ashley in CS with the warranty form and instructions attached. Obviously, they don't get much warranty work if they can respond this quickly. If the rest of this episode goes like this, Vortex has another customer for life. |
|
|
Thanks for the support! We really appreciate your business and I'm happy Ashley was able to get you taken care of so quickly. Thanks again and please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.

Okay,
These people are really really really out of control. Or really really really bored. Just got my tracking number for my optic. And I only mailed it Friday, 9-13. Is Ashley married? |
|
|
Haha wow, glad to hear you got that tracking number so quickly and will have the product back to you soon. Ashley is great, no doubt about it. Haha not sure whether she is married or not to be honest! Thanks again for the good feedback. Glad they got you well taken care of.

I'll be calling you guys this morning.
My Viper PST 1-4 has a problem. The reticle is canted to about 11:00! I first thought the scope was loose in the mount but it was level. I pulled the scope off and gave it a shake and I heard the rear glass rattle around. I did this a few more times while turning in and out the rear focus ring and it stopped. The reticle is still in the same position. Sigh....I have been having problems with firearm parts going down on me for the past 2 weeks and I have a shoot coming up on the 26th. I know you guys will take care of me, that is why I bought this Viper. No rush needed for the shoot as I will revert back to the Eotech. Edit to add: Well, it's shipped off. I called this AM and got right through and Colleen emailed me a Fed-X return label within mins. Talk about fast. |

|

Correction: Colleen, not Maureen like I typed earlier. Glad Colleen got you taken care of. They both do great work. Thanks again.

Thanks a ton! Got it back on the 22nd and I needed it by the 26th for a shoot. You guys are on top of the service! I got it sighted back in a few hours ago and it's GTG for tomorrow.

Another vote for the great customer service from Vortex after the sale Sent in my optic for review due to some cosmetic damage that did not effect its performance, spoke with Lynette N. and in a short time my optic was repaired, cleaned, and returned by FedEx ground before I knew it.
EXCELLENT! Thanks Vortex! |

Hey guys, just found that my strikefire won't turn on. Anything I can try here at the house to test it? I put a new battery in it and nothing. If there is nothing, I will send it in next week.

Ah, guys, I just received my package with my repaired strikefire (red/green version, had a bad power button) and I open it up, and turn it on. Nice bright green dot, I press the power button to cycle it over to red dot and nothing.
So, I press the NV button it goes dim like it should (kind of a violet color that you can barely see), I press the NV button again, nice bright green dot again. I press the down arrow button, it goes dim, press the up arrow button, it gets bright again. I press the power button again, no red dot. I hold the power button for about 10 seconds, it goes off. Now it won't turn on again. Am I crazy? What the heck happened? Guess I'll be sending it back tomorrow. |

Had my first experience with a warranty claim today. I went to mount up a SPARC and with the big riser and small screws, they would bottom out and RDS wouldn't be tight on the base. I have a dozen of the SPARCs around on various builds, so I grabbed one and did some testing. The base was loose on two different SPARCs, while another base snugged up to both SPARCs using the same small screws.
That narrowed it down to the base as far as I was concerned. Looks like the holes may be drilled too deep. Called the number, hit Option 6. Call was immediately answered and I explained my predicament. The resolution is a new base is being shipped to me today, no questions asked (other than "what is your address" ), with the request to return the defective one in a bubble mailer Vortex will supply. Always heard how good the CS was...can't complain one bit about my first experience. |

Glad to hear they got you taken care of! Thanks for choosing Vortex. We really appreciate it.

Sent in my 6-24 PST to you guys last week, looks like you received it today. It was the one in the box all packaged funky. It was actually one of Shamus' (01 FFL distributor here), just needs a little cleaning under the lens. Looking forward to getting it back. Love that scope and Vortex is such a fantastic company. Not sure if you have any method of tracking it, but it would be cool to hear how its going.

Hey yeah I would be happy to look into it for you. Would you please send us a private message with your name, email, and address? Thank you!

Now that you Vortex has replaced the StrikeFire with teh StrikeFire II, when you send in the original are you returning the old or the newer version?
Thanks |
|

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. If you are thinking about sending your Strikefire in for a look, please call customer care at 800-426-0048 ext. 6 Thank you.

Before I give customer care a call I'll ask here. I have an original SPARC and after a few uses the rubber-band optics cover broke. What's the fix for this? Do I go with Butler Creek covers, what sizes do I need? Do the SPARC II covers fit and how do I go about ordering them? Thanks for any assistance.
ETA I have a Strikefire too and love shooting with both. |

I put the Butler Creek covers on all mine. I have about a dozen of the original rubber covers just sitting in a box. If they won't send you one (which would surprise me), you can have a couple.
|
|
|
Depends what you prefer- Customer care would absolutely send you a replacement cover, but if you prefer flip caps instead- Butler Creek size 04 OBJ are the size we always hear fits the best. The SPARC II flip caps don't work so I would definitely go Butler Creek. Thanks again and please let me know if you have further questions. I would be happy to help.

|
|
Much thanks BigWaylon and VortexOptics. I'm going the BC 04 Obj route. I appreciate the assist! Btw, a friend just picked up a SPARC and loves it.

Quick question for Vortex. I sent my scope in last week (spilled acetone on it an ruined a gasket or two). How long is the usual turnaround or when should I expect an email telling me what the deal is with my scope. I am in no rush, just wondering. Thanks!
