+1, I got the email while busy at work, and I thought I would have some time (through the holiday weekend) to order when I read: "There is no quantity limit, so buy as many as you'd like." That didn't really convey that this was a limited run, but I guess it is what it is. You probably couldn't sell another 1k... for a badass cause.... View Quote |

I had four in the cart today. But, was trying to decide on a few other items. Put it off until this weekend. Still have to place an order on a scope/mount combo for my FDE Heavy tAR.
|
|
The email was actually even titled the "Memorial Day Help A Sniper Request"... so would you at least consider opening it back up and running it through Memorial Day? I think the response would be spectacular.
|
|
Guess he meant there was no limit to how many an individual could buy but not on how many he was selling. I can see the confusion.
I'll likely never remove mine from its package but if it helps just one sniper put one extra hole in a terrorists melon it was worth it. |

IIRC, the Ft. Hood and CK/CL dillos were limited to 1000, too.
I thought about adding some other stuff to the order, but figured time was of the essence. Added 2 and checked out. |

Still following just in case.
I don't give up easily...or maybe I'm just stupid |

I was out of town when the e-mail went out. So this morning I jump on my computer to order only to find out they were sold out befor the weekend really began, what a bummer. On the flip side Marc and company were able to get the support they were looking for in a very short time from his incredable clients, mabey he will run this request for help again in the future.

Sold out even before I saw the thread. Missed out, but good on those who gave and on Larue.

Y'all can always give directly to the organization.... If you really need a collectible that bad pick up a challenge coin or the other Dillo.

This. The new Dillos will complete the trifecta. Thank you Mark. God Bless Our Snipers.

Guess I'll just have to save my pennies and save my dimes so I can buy a LaRue bolt when they go on sale..... ?? Should be in about two weeks...... |

Sold out, what the shit? I figured I had through Monday to figure out how many I wanted.
|

I ordered one when I got the email blast....could not think of a better way to spend $50

Darn, I was going to order one tonight - did not realize that they were limited to 1000.
Mark, thanks for doing this. If you extend the offer, I am in (it is still Memorial Day). |

Something for everyone to think about in the future.
When something is sold and 100% of the sale price is donated to the charity that means the seller is eating the cost (or donating the cost). So this is usually budgeted and has a limit. It cant be limitless and needs a cutoff. Especially when so many other donations get much needed attention as well. So if it cost $5 for materials and labor, then the donation would be 5k for 1000 dillos. And thats just 1 donation. Larue seems to donate alot, to alot of causes. Multiple 5k donations add up fast. Sure the numbers are speculation, but there is still a cost. The point is, dont assume next time these things dont have a limit/budget. Raising the limit on 1 donation reduces the limit of the next donation. Tl;dr: snooze you loose. |

I was only needing one. Wish I could have afforded more. The money is going to a great cause. |
