Has anyone swapped barrels on their FDE yet? I just need to buy the 7.62 Barrel wrench to pop off the barrel, right?

Short term, thinking about trading for a longer barrel. Long term, 260r or have a 338 fed or 6.5 made (dependent on what I decide to buy in a bolt gun). |

If you're going to change out a lot, get the tOBR...I'm sure you'll get sick of taking that FDE handguard off and on quick. |

All sort of depends what I end up with on the bolt action side of things, leaning toward 338LM (go big or go home, right?) for that, in which case I'd be fine with 308 over 260/6.5 for plinking out to 1k and just swap once a year to 338fed for hunting. Perhaps once I run out of my 308 stash and have taxed the brass then move over to 260/6.5 for plinking. |

Alright, I hit the T15 with my purse and stripped all the threads in the handguard, but there's a tOBR barrel nut under there.

I messed with mine when I first got it. The screw gave way before the steel inserts in the handguard (stretched the screw like it was made of aluminum). LaRue sent me a few new ones. Don't go over 20 in lbs or 1/8th turn after hand tight. Those screws are very fragile. |

Maybe a little tighter than they were originally, as they came out really easy. ETA: Ordered a wrench and some new foam for my Pelican 1550 so I can fly with it broken down when I go hunting this year. |

I wonder if the wrench that comes with the BuildAR's uppers would fit? |

I didn't even try my 556 tOBR one, but I guess an extra and dillo dust won't kill me if they're the same. |
