Shoot it..
I'm also talking about 5.56 rifles here.
It would pretty much be a range toy for shooting out to 100 yards with the occasional foray into 300-400 yard territory (max I have access to and that would be rare).
I don't really have a need for the breakdown ability of the tOBR, but i do like the way the 14.5" rifle looks.
Do both the tOBR and the OBR use the same barrels?

The OBR is really designed from the ground up to shoot far, no 14.5 probably because you start to see some pretty dramatic loss in ballistic performance in most 762's <16".
What do you want to do with the rifle? The OBR was my first LT love and I'll never part with it but my tOBRs are what I use all the time. No difference in accuracy but features are a lot more conducive to throwing in the motorcycle and heading to the range or carrying around in the woods all day...especially if it's cold or hot

Ohh, just shoot it. You're supposed to shoot Larue's "lots" so maybe it's not right for you
5.56 I'd go with the tOBR for sure, there might be 300 BO barrels someday. The tAR's are great for children and 6 and people run them till their hot but I like the heavier barrel on the tOBR, sorry no first had experience with the 556 OBR.
ETA: OBR/tOBR do use the same barrels.
