Thinking about an OBR...what are the current wait times? (if any)

Well that's good to here. Thought it would be longer than that. Wonder if it's different for a tobr? Ordered mine a week ago.

Well then what is the literal wait?

The "two weeks" is a comic jab at the wait time and something that started years ago. Last month I received a 5.56; my wait time was 2 days shy of 8 weeks before it shipped. With pending events, a rifle ordered today will probably be a Christmas present (at best) by the time its received. To get a guesstimate more accurate than that, you could call LT but they will most likely tell you a minimum wait time. |
I'm at ~12 weeks on my tOBR. Original estimate was 10-12 weeks +/-.
I believe the general sentiment is tOBRs are taking longer than other rifles. Also depends on caliber, 5.56 historically takes less time than 7.62. |
Last week I was told a minimum of 2 months. Placed an order for a 14.5" 5.56 tOBR on Friday and got an update today that its in the GTG status. I'm guessing it will still be a bit though... at least I hope so as I still haven't decided what optics I'm putting on it. Kind of odd I'm ok to wait on this one, but where I live in NJ, I can't get my hands on many optics to peak at. Have to wait until the next big gun show to go down and handle some.

I'm on week 12 for my Obr 16".

I guess I should get my OBR order in. I got a PreditAR last year with only shipping wait IIRC... LaRue did a batch I guess, then announced a soon to come price increase.
I just got my RPR that I ordered last Sept... by going on gunbroker and cancilling my order. I suspect you can always avoid a wait if you are so inclined. That cost me 10%. Not sure what a LaRue scalper would charge. --- Called today on OBR, was told minimum 4 months. In que now. Ordered glass as well... it will always find a good home. |
When LaRue made the barrel changeover it was a year or better, it ain't that slow anymore
Place an order and consider the wait as good time to spend figuring out glass |
I waited 13 months.. and i have and have been waiting on 6.5CM barrel since then lol
Just a tick over two months and counting on my tOBR 5.56mm.
I just put in an order for a 16" Predator 7.62.
I was saved for the UDE if it came out but got tired of waiting and decided on beating a possible panic. I guess if it comes out and I get one I'll just cancel this one. |

It's a very old joke because Mark said tOBRs would start shipping in "two weeks" early part of May '13 and the first ones were more like November. So we all say "two weeks" when anyone asks how long. |

Sometimes you get lucky and hit the batch they are doing or have in the chute. |

Picked up my 7.62 PrredatOBR from my FFL. today. Quoted 12-14 weeks and it took 16. They pushed some CA orders to the front of the line to help those guys out.

In for another one - 20" tOBR in 7.62. If that cunt gets elected, anyone know if Mark will start shipping lowers out instead of rifles in advance of builds like after the last ant-gun push? I suspect he will - because he knows it would piss her off - but I was just curious if anyone has seen it dropped as a worst case scenario?
And, the obligatory FBHO FHRC |

I would have gladly taken a lower in that situation, but I was way too far down the list at that time. And so, just like with the rest of the country, a few snowflakes ruin a nice thing. If the bitch wins, and he doesn't do it, I have no one to blame but myself for spending all my fun money on ammo for the 5.56 tOBR and pistols. LT has taken mighty good care of me over the years. Order placed 8/12/2016 Order GTG 8/15/2016 Order Shipped 10/25/2016 This was a 18" tOBR. I also ordered a few weeks later a 16" barrel and a short handguard. Those are still backordered but hopefully aren't far behind. |
