A bunch of BuildAR listers want a shot at getting their lower in in time to SBR it. So, though we don't have the LT-845 mounts or the MBTs done, we're gonna short ship just the lowers to follow with the MBTs / mounts later and no-charge for the second shipping. Here-in lies the rub, shipping said "yeah, but charge for the whole thing now, and send triggers / mounts later when they are done". So then, that's what we're doing, though it's against our normal MO. ML Hooray! That short barrel I ordered was going to seem like a silly idea if this didn't happen. Thanks! |

Awesome news!
As usual, LT comes through. ETA: I got my SBR LaRue lower in the last lower sale. This RO lower I have on order will be for a 16" build. Mark, if you guys are swamped with orders, would it help if those of us who *are not* SBR'ing our lowers call in to bump ours to the back of the line so the SBR people get theirs with plenty of time? Just spit balling here, if you guys have this figured out, disregard. |

Awesome. I am definitely wanting to form 1 my lower! Very excited to hopefully have it in time.
Though it's an RO model, not sure if that means it'll take longer and only black is going out? |

Hopefully the lowers being shipped to our FFL will show a receipt for only the lowers and not everything else? :) |

How much was the lower? Damn, I have to sit over here in a corner without one. Will SBR something else this week. It was available in a sort of "build your own package" type thing. Starting price was $399 and you could pick a lower + 2 MBT triggers or lower + an Optic Mount (845?). Then you have an option to add another 2 triggers or basically build the package in a bunch of ways. Lower + 2 triggers Lower + mount Lower + 2 Triggers + Mount Lower + 2 Triggers + 2 Triggers You get the idea. So between $4-600ish. If you break it down, about $200 for the lower, 100 for each trigger, or 200 for the mount. |

Great, ya gotta love it here. Thanks ML, can't wait to get my RO lower. Just curious if the third qtr will extend the barrel deal to the BuildAR list as a possible drop down or add to the list of options?
I have held off getting a bbl to make sure I could cover my build list lower buy. Or are they waiting til July to start the 3Q list? A BCG would be nice too. |

Didn't come with a trigger - which was fine for my last build as I bought one of their Lower/Trigger deals last Spring so I had an MBT and polymer kit inbound. I'll probably go with the same thing if I can't wait long enough. However, I'm tempted to hold off and see what the next quarter brings for this here 1st qtr build I got my fingers crossed for some kind of "finishing kit" for $399 that'll be a combo or options of the following: LPK, gas tube/block, Polymer Kit, Buffer stuff, BCG, etc. |

I used a Spike's LPK (minus FCG) on my last Larue lower and really liked the quality of the parts/pins/springs over "mil-spec" kits I've used in the past. Primary arms has them for $45 right now, FYI.

I buy every part individually. There is a lot of small and different parts out there. Unless you just want plane Jane mil spec parts, most LPK are a dime in a dozen.

Maybe LaRue could add a basic LPK to their website so that us BuildAR's could order it from LaRue? I already added the ambi safety to my Q2 order, so it could be a very basic parts kit.

There is a ton, and I mean a ton of parts out there. Titanium pivot pins made in different styles/marking, regular pivot pins in different style/marking, ambi 45/65/90 degree safeties, push button safeties, colored safeties, ambi mag release, extended mag release, different styles/pattern bolt release, extended bolt release, and all the different pistol grips out there is all I can think of right now. I try my best to put in different parts in each build to see what I do and don't like. As of now, all four of my rifles have LaRue grips. That and the phase 5 extended bolt release are the only parts I have on more than one rifle. The MBT is fixin to be the next part that will be on more than one AR of mine |
