YEAH BABY!!!
My 20" Stealth arrived a few minutes ago... it will see duty in the Prairie Dog fields next summer. Included in the shipment was a tan LaRue hat, a Christmas Dillo, and targets. The hat and the dillo were the swag that I was most hoping for. Thank you Santa LaRue and have Merry Christmas and a Great 2017! |

Question for the Marks.
Have either of you had any TX Whiskey? A good friend came up form Austin for Thanksgiving, and brought me a bottle. Man that stuff is amazing. That, and the Yellowbird Habanero hot sauce, and the Talk O' Texas pickled okra, and the Julio's chips, and the HEB chips, etc. Have yet to try the Salt Lick and Stubb's BBQ sauces. I love Texas. |

I wanted to put a post up thanking Mr. Larue for the sale and the free barrel, and show that someone with rifle skills between amateur and incompetent, can be made to look good by his barrels and MBT. I shot this today at 100 yards. 18" Stealth, MBT trigger, Spike's BCG and a Votrex 6.5-20x glass. A 15 mph wind from my 4-5 o'clock. They were all suppose to be 10 round groups, except I am moron and didn't put primers in 4 of the 23.0gr shells. (Seriously. Yeah, see I am that bad. I hand primed and hand measured the charge. Don't be like me. Don't get distracted by your wife.) These groups happen to also be my first ever .223 reloads. It was a ladder of Varget under 75gr Hornady BTHPs. I know I pulled the two outliner shots on the 23.9gr group. Showed no pressure signs on any brass from this ladder. The better of the groups I think will come out to just over MOA, but the barrel and trigger are compensating for the shooter. A .625 instead of a .750 And because I'm so desperate to get out and shoot this weekend I ordered a another gas block at the correct .750 diameter and next day aired it I'm hoping that I can return the .625 Gas block, because I plan on ordering and purchasing another 16" stealth. |

Mark,
I picked 1219 because it was our upcoming baby's due date. Well Beau didn't get the memo and decided he would rather come early and pay respects on Pearl Harbor day! So feel free to pull 1219 out of the RNG today. Nothing better than 20" Stealth barrel to build a BDay rifle around. |

I have an SLR and a BCM on the way in .750 to see which one will line up the closest. Probably won't bother to Loctite it down because as soon as the .750 Larue gas blocks come back around and going to end up putting one of them on. Just want to get the build up and running so I can get out this weekend to shoot and zero. |

Got my 16"stealth in on Wednesday and had her altogether by Thursday night..
Was finally able to get out today and zero my Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x40mm Below are some groups with my favorite 77 grain burgers using IMR 8208 and LC brass. Best group so far was 23.3 grs. Green squares are 1" divided by 1/4" grids. My last Larue barrel I had also seemed to like the hottest load. Tried some 75gr hornady's but it didn't seem to like them with this powder. Best group I could get was almost 1.5". The hornady's were the very first rounds I fired through the barrel so maybe things needed to settle and break-in? As a disclaimer I would not start with these loads and work up from the bottom if you value your hands, eyes and face.. It was 25° out with 10 to 15 mile an hour wind gust. I tried to hold off on every shot in between gusts. The last group on the right is where I got it pretty close to sub MOA but not quite. Measured 1.047 at the farthest I'm pretty sure it was due to my lacking in shooting abilities on this day because it was so freaking cold out and a little windy. I did have hatch cold-weather patrol gloves on but had to take them on and off several times to load magazines, keep data and I couldn't feel my hands as good as I would have liked to. There are two possible flyers right together to the low right outside of the green square of the last 23.3 grs group on the right. The reason I'm thinking this is because as soon as I pulled the trigger on each one of those I pretty much felt that something had gone wrong, but I counted them anyways in my measurement. I'm thinking on a nicer day that I should be able to tighten these groups up a little more. Of course living here where I am that is probably not going to happen until March I have to say though that I am pretty happy with the groups I got today even though I feel that me and the rifle could've done better.
