I really hope you get your rifle back soon.
Here in @#$! Up California, to get a recovered firearm back we need to go thru the LEGR (Law Enforcement Gun Release) process. Which is just another BS way of them making it as hard as possible for gun owners. I didn't see anything similar when I scanned New Jersey firearm laws, but you never know. http://www.njsp.org/info/pdf/firearms/njac-title13-ch54.pdf |

Wanted me to register it with the DOJ as well. |

He should have a lawyer at the ready. Good luck narc. Hopefully they don't. It's completely Jersey-legal: pinned brake, pinned stock, no bago lug, mag is a 10-rounder, and I don't have a grenade launcher. ?? NJ Gun Laws I hear you, and I'm pulling for you. That being said, all the gymnastics we go through to own AR pattern rifles in NJ is only theoretically legal and lots of good intentions on our part. Fact of the matter is the laws are intentionally vague, and our workarounds are based on atf BS from the Fed ban with no real legal value in NJ. Hopefully the current owners of your rifle see it the same way we do and you get your rifle back. The fact remains that your rifle is in the hands of an anti-gun organization, in an antigun county, that enforces the unjust laws of an anti-gun state. I'd say that's a shitty place for your rifle to be. "When dealing with guns, the citizen acts at his peril" - NJ superior court. |

And you can sell them when they get too expensive or they form bad habits. View Quote you mean "sell them" never had a firearm stolen but had one taken as the cop in CA thought I was drunk.... passed FST and blood showed a .01... process for me was easy and luckily the sheriffs at the station were cool and gun people. she actually walked out with my shotgun in hand and my bandolier on and went this is kinda badass lol. tossed it in a case loaded it in my truck then went back for the ammo can of ammo (she couldnt give me both at the same time). hopefully they are able to do their ballistic testing quickly and get the rifle back to you. awesome to hear its off the street and best of luck getting the rest back. |

I think these states and officals who create/enforce these laws need to make sure their protection duty turns in the same weapons that are on those lists. Let's see how fast those laws change. It's F'n amazing how these states/officals are.
