So I'm getting married coming up here in May and I'm putting together a couple of items to present to my groomsmen as tokens of my appreciation.
Is it possible to get some custom Dillos spun up? I'd need 4. It would be kinda cool if I could get them in a special color (if possible), as they all already have some of my spare black ones. There's already getting a little box of goodies including cigars and a little whiskey, but I figure this would be something they could hang on to for years to come. Mark, I understand this is asking a lot, what with the other million things you have going on, but I'd be exceptionally grateful if you could accommodate this request. I'd be willing to pay whatever the cost is. Update: Nothing like getting it done at the last minute. I picked them up this morning. Joint Force Enterprises did an awesome job. Thanks again to JesseCJC for hooking it up on the dillos. |

Rooting for you...have a feeling there is a minimum order that's greater than the size of your whole party.

Didn't think about that. I'll probably go ahead and do that then. I'll see if I can have them blasted and re-anodized, then send them to a laser engraver. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Just buy a 5 pack and take them somewhere to get them coated? Didn't think about that. I'll probably go ahead and do that then. I'll see if I can have them blasted and re-anodized, then send them to a laser engraver. That's what I'd do. Any place that did Cerakote could do it easy enough in whatever color you wanted as well. |

It's been a while since I've studied the specs, but what's more durable, cerakote or type III anodizing? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I think the cerakote would feel weird on a small object like the dillo. |

I don't think the cerakote would feel weird, but I do think it'd wear relatively quickly if the dillos are actually used as intended on bottle caps.
Anodizing would be a little more durable unless damage is done to the metal. |
|
Send me your address and I will send out 5 plain dillos so you can get them coated. Consider it a wedding present.

JesseCJC, you really did me a solid.
I'm going to be pretty busy over the next couple weeks, but I'll post up some pics as soon as they're coated/engraved. Expect to see them before mid May. Thanks again! |

Let me be the first in this thread to congratulate you on your upcoming marriage!
I think everyone got wrapped around the axle trying to help you solve the Groomsmen Dillo Gift dilemma, that we lost sight of the fact that you're getting married. Congratulations buddy!! |

Just a small update, the Dillos are at the Cerakote guy. I should have them back in about a week or two.
JesseCJC sent me more than I needed, so I'm having one done up for my officiant as well Cool stroy; the officiant is actually one of my Marine buddies who is now in seminary. |

Congrats! But that's kind of a cheap gift View Quote It's not always about the cost, but the thought behind it. How do you know what he spent to get them prepped, finished & engraved? Plus he may have gotten them other things that he didn't share with us on here. Guess we know the type of person you are. |

They all loved them. I've shot my PredatOBR with all but one of them, so they know what LaRue is. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
