Are all barrel orders with M4 feed ramps delayed, or is just the Q1 BuildAR ones?
Could those of us who were looking for 5.56 barrels just order another one, get it sooner, then when the Q1 barrels show up sell them for a mint post-election (assuming that's the timing we're looking at)? |

The delay had to do with m4 cut upper supply in Q1, not the barrels, from what I can gather.

Mark, you can rent me if your behind I think he set the CNC's to run the non-m4's with plans to run another batch with the M4 cuts. Then military production tied up the CNC machines. Add in the fact that the proper way to add M4 cuts is prior to anodizing and I can understand why we haven't received the M4 cut uppers. I'll wait to make sure it's "right". Thanks! |

This is obviously having a direct impact on delivery of BuildAR 1st quarter orders, as well as other aspects of his production line. Hard as it is to be patient for another "2 weeks", I think we can all agree this was not an issue he could have foreseen or planned for. I appreciate everything Mark and crew continue to do for our troops (and family members) down range. I also also appreciate him opening up the Armorer's course to non-active duty participants. For those of you on the fence about taking the course, I highly recommend it. Our Instructor, Robert Gee was outstanding. His knowledge of the AR platform, and LaRue variants in particular, was extensive. The course manual is well laid out and comprehensive with regard to both the normal structure and function of LaRue rifles, and also included a well laid out section on malfunction causes and corrective actions. Of course the lunchtime Bar-B-Q, and end of course SWAG bag were icing on the cake. Not to mention getting some serious face time with Mark himself. All in all, a great experience and worth the cost. Hope this helps explain the current lead time for 1st quarter items. So put your feet up, grab another REK Honey Pilsner, and we'll keep waiting this out. Christmas will get here. Someday. Different day, different story.....who knows.
I'm confused he just got thee orders recently or sometime just after the Q1 BuildAR. Originally all the Q1 stuff was supposed to be delivered by May, if this mil contract is recent then it doesn't really explain the delays. |

View Quote My understanding is they've been at it for awhile now (large order of a complex piece of hardware........and VERY nicely done), and that it will take awhile longer to complete the job. This piece is highly sought after by the customer and is going to save lives. There are manufacturers out there who no doubt produce fine products with shorter delivery times. I'm fortunate enough to reside in a free state. So in my mind, I'm willing to wait for a LaRue product because of both the quality of the design and manufacturing, and because of Marks continued commitment to supporting our fighting forces. Their customer service and satisfaction guarantee are a bonus. Oh,...........and it doesn't hurt to have Todd Hodnett tell the world in one of the top gun mags that LaRue produces THE FINEST semi-auto rifles around. |

Back in Feb I convinced a couple friends of mine to get in on the Qtr 1 deal. They are new LT customers and were excited at the time. As time has went on with no indication of when the orders will be filled I get my balls busted quite frequently for the wait. I fully expect both of them to tell me they want out of the deal any time now...which will unfortunately lead me to cancel my order. Shit happens I guess...

Has anyone heard about receiver extensions shipping?
|
|
|

Got an email today saying the BuildAr Uppers should start shipping in the next few weeks.
|
|
If you seek to do battle with me this day, you will receive the best that I am capable of giving. It may not be enough, but it will be everything I have to give, and it will be impressive.

I'm just hoping my Q1 order comes in before the CA ban goes into effect. Wish I could swing a 7.62 OBR prior to that as well, but it's not looking promising.
