Honestly, you really don't need to be a sponsor here to sell your product.
I would just not re-up for a year and watch your sales figures as I bet they don't change. It will hurt the arfcom bottom line much more than yours I would guess. I do not have the same personality as you and don't always agree with what you say/do but I also caught the "shots" that Bill took and wouldn't be happy if I were you either. |

Mark, I bought an MBT during your recent sale, and I have one question. Does the MBT use a full power hammer spring? By the way, I also have an SPR-E and cantilever mount for my AP PRO.
Thank you for your time and looking forward to receiving the MBT and using it for my SPRish build! |

Mark, have you been contacted regarding the lock? Surprised they would do this, especially when it was all in good fun as evident by Bill joining in on that back and forth thread. (Assuming that's the thread which caused the issue.)
Either way, we all support you in whatever you decide. |

I'm just asking, and I'll be perfectly honest with you, because I just saw a Shot Show video that highlighted that sometimes a light pull is achieved by using "softer" springs. I also learned that AMU will frown upon triggers that use "soft" hammer springs and want triggers that are using a "full power" hammer spring in order to achieve consistent ignition and lock time. I hope I am paraphrasing everything correctly, as I do not want to misrepresent anything. At any rate, what was being discussed in the video appeared to make sense to me, but, what do I know, as I don't shoot competition and I am not an SME. |

I watched that video of Bill earlier today and I gotta say I thought his whole demeanor was really off putting. I don't know the guy obviously and I know a lot of people here talk highly of him, but I'm not impressed. I only have one of his products and one ALG product. I'm seriously considering selling both triggers and replacing them with MBTs. I already have two and really like them. Maybe it's Bills Yankee accent/attitude that rubs me wrong I don't know. I do know that I get Marks sense of humor if you will and I really dig his products! I guess you can call me a fanboy if you that's you're thing.
On a separate note I also think the names of his mounts and charging handles are "super" gay. |

I want you to think about one product that Mark has made that is subpar. I then want you to consider that most test targets coming out of the last batch of FDE Heavys were .5xx or less. Do you really need to ask these questions. |

Do you really need to ask these questions. Yes, that is the video that I watched. FDE Heavys? I have no clue what those are. All I know is that I have a couple of LaRue products that I really like, just bought an MBT and have two SSA triggers in existing builds, which I like for those two particular rifles. However, after watching the video, I felt like I learned something, so I thought I'd ask Mark whether his MBT shipped with a full power hammer spring. That's it. There is no hidden agenda on my part, I just wanna know if the hammer spring is a reduced power spring which is what is helping to achieve the lighter trigger pull that everyone is experiencing. And it is this lighter trigger pull that I want for my DMRish build, as I didn't want to shell out the money for one of the more expensive G triggers. I don't see the harm in asking for this specific bit of information. |

Nice rig, brother. And, yes, I understand that LaRue can also produce a good trigger. I am not disputing that. I'm just asking what I'm asking. To me, it's no different than when people ask: Hey, whose barrel blanks are you using? Hey, who makes your receivers? Hey, who nitrides the barrels that you are selling?

I just can't imagine he would compromise function for a lighter trigger pull. Especially with the groups he's getting. That's all. |

And, yes, I agree that LaRue would not skimp on function/quality in order to get a lighter trigger pull, but I would still like to hear from Mark in order to get a definitive answer. My FDE came with an almost quarter MOA target which was very nice. My Costa and PredatAR were closer to the high side. When I watched the interview, I was wondering if he was talking about accuracy issues due to reaction time or actual mechanical accuracy. Right after, they were basically talking about the rifle going bang when you pulled the trigger vs a delay, due to a change in lock time. If that's the case a slow fire with even a mil spec trigger and JP springs wouldn't affect accuracy. |

Must everybody be so loosely-goosey in their descriptions ? If it uses all of it's power, is it full power ? Sorry, for the question, Mark. Watched the Geissele video huh? I want you to think about one product that Mark has made that is subpar. I then want you to consider that most test targets coming out of the last batch of FDE Heavys were .5xx or less. Do you really need to ask these questions. My test target isn't, but together we will overcome and outshoot the shooter. I'm with ya...no worries though. I *will* outshoot the shootist with mine. |

I am not ML so take this for what it is worth. I have a few 3 MBT's and they do not have anything labeled A Full Power Hammer Spring. They have a hammer spring and two others a heavy and a light. I hope this helps.

My obr has an ssa trigger in it. Might be time for me to swap. Or an ARMS mount type trade in program...
After reading the threads my guess is this is why the first tOBRs had black gold triggers. |

Why argue semantics over the description of a spring?
I've run the piss out of MBTs for over a year now with the original hammer spring and light trigger spring. Tens of thousands of rounds and I have had 0 failures of any type that could be attributed in any way, shape, or form to the trigger or any components related. Why this is even a point of contention is beyond me. If there was a problem, I'm sure we would see some reports from the thousands of owners. Hopefully all this hoopla isn't really over some hurt feelings because of triggers. |

One is heavier than the other so depending on what kind of first stage trigger pull you like you can install one over the other. |

I couldn't sit through the entire thing in one sitting. Bill is a good guy, and makes a bunch of great products. However, I think this entire trigger war has been blown a bit out of proportion. While I understand how the springs may affect lock time and play a small part in overall accuracy, it's not enough for people to get crazy about when all the products are clearly proven. Both companies make amazing products. There is no loser here on the customer side. As I said, it's just gotten blown out of proportion and slightly out of control. The fact that Mark has lost access to a portion of the site (Whether permanent or not) is a testament to that. Everyone was poking fun in the GD thread and it now seems to have gotten out of hand. |

Well said. I agree 100%. I have a Larue lower enroute that cost me my precious Daniel Defense lower (should have bought one last spring, kicking myself). I love my MBT's but I don't have much money and I do have a spare SSA. Guess what this lower is going to be wearing? |

I'm not sure how the two interact, but I doubt it has anything to do with 100y precision shooting either. |
