Everytime I see this thread, I scratch my head....
I've got pretty much every larue including the costa, 260, 6.5 on order, original OBR 20% heavy, 14.5 308 (which is the only reason I didn't get the FDE flavor when it came up), a couple 5.56s and I've ordered some hand guards and countless polymer parts....yet I still can't get an invite to this list. Where do I mail the kidney? |

No need to be fussy about it again. As a long time customer, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. TASTE OF TEXAS SALE.
http://www.larue.com/taste-of-texas-sale As many of you know, we're building World-Class 2-Stage triggers in-house ... our MBT. We're also making world-class barrels in our in-house precision barrel shop. Not done - we're also injection molding our own line of polymer AR furniture too and as with everything we set our hand to, we're great at it. As with all new items, one must get solidly established in the marketplace. And how is that done - with money. I said this at the Father's Day sale back in the spring - marketing folks said we can go 2 ways ... 1) Throw money into print ads and wait very patiently for effect 2) Divide same money between 1,000 units, subtracting that amount off each one, sell them and let word of mouth do the talking. We've opted for #2 again. We know that many of you jumped on the stripped lower bandwagon and still need a few top-end parts to complete your builds with. We're offering our slick MBT triggers, and a special MBT version of our renowned LaRue cap in Olive Drab, a LaRue barrel of your length choice, and a complete furniture kit with your choice of color, all for $399, real close to half off. What do we ask in return for this smokin' deal ? We want you to put our MBT trigger, precision barrel, and polymer kit into/onto your AR build, slap the cap on your head, then head to the range and try it out. That's all. Thanks again for helping us hang near the top spot in our industry. Mark and Team LaRue |

I don't remember if it was by email or on the forum but Mark made it clear what the requirements were to get on the BuildAR list and stated a clear deadline before it closed. I know because I bought a polymer kit and MBT that I had no use for just to make sure I wouldn't miss out.

I had, however, bought everything in the sale during 2015. That was the other way in, iirc. |

Maybe mark is planning on adding to the buildAR list by merging in the new sniper dillo list?

Two weeks is too long to sit on the side line of the upper deal. Based on the feedback the other half gave me after ordering the 6.5g and know that I'll be hitting another quarterly purchase for a mystery amount, I'm going to have to freeze my credit card, or get my wife another rifle she doesn't use.

.....Mark, as a few others have mentioned, I too am torn between the upcoming BuildAR offering and the Ultimate Upper sale.....As much as I'd love to get into a Grendel, I don't want to drop off the BuildAR list and can't do both right now... ...So, I respectfully ask if you'd consider a modified Ultimate selection for the next BuildAR.....Maybe upper, handguard, barrel and BCG?......Options on add ons maybe? ....After all, we're the BuildARs right?..... |

I would not mind being a guinea pig for a large frame Stealth 2.0 (7.62 or .260) like we were for the small frame Stealth 2.0. I am very pleased with the Stealth 2.0 that we got.

I can't swing more than $400 a quarter and still feel like a halfway responsible person. I know we have some big money ballers in the group but I'd suggest lets keep asking for access to the rare/new but useful and innovative products or at the very least killer pricing on the higher end gear like a PreadatOBR adjustable gas system barrel assembly or the 308 equivalent to the Stealth 2.0 upper. If we do go with the "kit" build that we see listed currently, I'd hope that mark would give us buying options to get the pricing down to $400. For example I have plenty of triggers, polymer kits and muzzle brakes on hand, so no need for those three items right off the bat. |

Brownells sold a pelican with precut foam for the last month for $175 shipped. They also offered a soft case perfectly sized for a pelican case, much like LT's setup, for similar under $175 pricing.
Personally, you can find case options anywhere...I hope BuildAR gets me access to LT gun parts, not gun storage options. Either way Mark, I appreciate the program. |
