Called and asked if there were any plans to produce a mount that was full-cowitness and the person I spoke with was not sure. Mentioned that their may be something in the works but can't be sure or certain of when. FWIW
Bought the cantilever. |
I ordered the cantilever combo (LT849). They said they have them in stock, ready to go!
Ordered the non-cantilevered version. Got an email saying they're not ready to ship yet

Wow thanks for the heads up! I need the MRO but I didn't realize they had them packaged since I didn't see them in the mounts tab. Cancelled my order and got the combo 849 as well.
How do you guys who have an MRO like it? I'm thinking about selling my T1 and trying it.
Cantilever, ordered.
ETA. tracking number assigned about two hours later. |

Looking at those two pics ^^^, I almost prefer the standard mount.

So am I right to understand that the cantilever mount is in stock? And the 839 is back ordered? Looks like somebody miss judged the demand for that awesome cantilever mount, I guess my MRO/839 will just have to look plain and dull. I think you should get a free Larue Snuggie with every cantilever mount. |

Alright, now that everyone has their little MRO and mount, should I buy one over a T2/H2? Or just roll a second CompM4s?

I don't like the T1 and sold the one I owned very shortly after purchasing. After trying an MRO at SHOT it seems like the ideal bridge between the gap of the big and small Aimpoints, but that's JMHO. |

Gotcha, and I picked the M4s over the smaller Aimpoints because I liked the larger tube. So if I am going to go small, and I prefer the larger M4s, the MRO (in your opinion) would be the better choice. I haven't played with one in person, but all the youtube reviews are favorable, and for over $200 less than the M4s it seems like a pretty safe bet at this point -- doesn't hurt that the LaRue mounts are shipping so (maybe) I'd get it by Saturday to hit the range this weekend.. |

Good points. I like my T1/LT660 but don't like the small tube. I love my PRO/LT150 but don't like the bulk and weight. I have two MRO's coming tomorrow. I need a mount, so keep the pics coming. Still trying to decide what to go with. |

Orders seem to be about half and half ... cantilever vs non-cantilevered.

I have been asked to point out that I am LaRue Tactical's owner.
My work has been used by tens of thousands of US Military personnel, and tens of thousands of civilian shooters - ML |
I'm surprised LaRue didn't take the current T1 mount and modify it for the MRO, that'd be perfect to me.
I'll continue waiting for an absolute cowitness and hopefully a more appealing mount. |
