This. My LGS just lost me as a customer. Bought a Ruger LC9 not too long ago. I admittedly overpaid for it ($450 out the door with CT laser) with the knowledge I was supporting a local brick and mortar. Decided I wanted to upgrade to the new striker fired version so I took my old LC9 up for a trade. FYI, only 50 rounds down the tube, hardly worn out... He offered me $200. I tried to negotiate with him, but he got pissy and informed me he doesn't negotiate. Fine, I purchased a trigger upgrade from Galloway Precision which solved my complaint with the gun for $100 and installed myself. I'll not step foot in his store again. I have 2 rifles, a shotgun, and a handgun in my budget for this year. Knowing his markup, he would have made more money working with me than blowing me off and sending me away mad. Not to mention that anytime I hear someone talking about doing business with him I guide them to LaRue, or another LGS a little further down the road, (that uses the same distributor).
Oh, and I am a return customer for this guy and have always been polite and friendly while in his establishment.
