On my predatAR I run an Aimpoint T1 with the LT660 till in need magnification then I have a Burris E1 3-9x40 on an LT104. Quick switch for two totally different jobs.

I'm not sure about a red dot on a coyote at 200m but I guess with a magnifier.
There's lots of good 1-4's out there, or you could do a red dot and a low power scope.
tAR will gladly put holes in dogs to 200m, probably a lot further than that as well

this is true. the beauty of the LT mounts is the return to zero. multiple optics for multiple uses.
If you want to go with two optics on a budget the Vortex Sparc II is a great valued red dot and fits in Aimpoint micro mounts. Then you could throw on a solid variable optic for the longer range stuff (I have a Leupold Mark AR that seems to work great so far and they can be had for about $400). So for under a grand you could have two optics in LaRue mounts and will cover just about anything you want to do with it. Just a thought.
ETA - for iron sights my recommendation is if you plan to use them a lot, go Troy. But if they're strictly there as a backup and you don't plan on using them much, save some coin and get the magpul. They work fine and you can put the $100 difference towards 50rnds of M855
