So this is what I have to companies it to. Alg act, RRA 2 stage, and hyperfire EDT. And the MBT is just light years ahead of all the others. I will be getting at least 2 more.

Hello all, this is my first post here. I'm new to the black rifle game but have been a hunter all my life. I recently had a 300 blk put together for me on a budget as an entry level rifle for hogs, plinking, and of course to exercise my freedom. Love the gun, hate the mil-spec trigger but that is what I ordered so no fault at all of the seller. Did some research on triggers, found the MBT, made in Texas a selling point on top of the excellent reviews on this and other sites...ordered on 8/26 with the 'I can wait' option and now I wait!

Is there a trick to reinstalling the safety selector? I bought an MBT trigger and tried installing it in my Essential Arms lower, and it's not working out. I think the lower is OK, as no problems with the Bushmaster trigger that was in it, or the RRA NM 2-stage trigger I upgraded to. But upgrading that to the MBT is not working for me. I can't get the safety selector to go all the way through the receiver on the reinstall. I think the little tab at the back of the trigger is sticking up too high, even when the trigger is cocked, and the selector won't clear enough to reinsert all the way. I tried filing that tab down just a touch down, but props to LaRue's hardening company, because I barely was able to scratch the back of the tab, so that didn't work. I'm not quite sure what to do, and was wondering if there was some kind of "oh you need to press here, or file there - very common" type of solution to this?

[#25]
the channel on some safeties is too narrow for the trigger bar from my understanding. I can say my psa safety barely fit. I would look from the top and make sure the bar is dropping in the safety

Gave up. Pulled it out and swapped the MBT with the Geisselle that was in my spare national match RRA. The Geisselle fit in the M4 lower no problem; the MBT doesnt, but does fit in the RRA lower's.
Not my top preference, the wide LaRue trigger i liked in the M4, but not so sure in the Match rifle. I like LaRue, big fan in fact. And I also like Geislle. G is a big supporter of High Power, providing lots of finacial support, prizes, taylored for that game. With a booth at the national matches to tailor adjust triggers even. So I kind of like using his stuff in that game. Kind of a bummer I had to pull his trigger out to free up a receiver that will work with the MBT. |

Been running mine for about 6 months now I think. I really like the trigger a lot. I have a Geiselle as well that I really enjoy, can't honestly say one is better than the other. I wish the MBT came in a flat front. Big fan of those. A friend of mine has a couple of RRA 2-stages, and I can say I think the MBT is a level above the RRA. Fit in my noveske lower like a glove.
The MBT was my first larue purchase, so I wanted to add that Dillo dust is the shit. |

Installed the MBT and it feels gritty, almost as if there is resistance. It's smooth as glass when the sears are not engaged. That leads me to believe nothing is binding.

[#36]
Let me try.
Take it out, clean it out, clean out your receiver and pin holes, relube everything and try again. Also check that the trigger does not rub where it sticks into the trigger guard. |

View Quote It seems unlikely that this would happen to a new lower and trigger. I'll remove it, reapply grease, and install. I am certain the trigger is not making contact with anything because I visually checked and tested it before installing the hammer. Thanks for your input! |

[#38]
When I put 2 of my triggers in I wiped some Aeroshell 33MS on the pins before installation. Is that ok versus oil that might not stay intact on the pins very long?

So I ordered my first trigger back in August and I have to say it's as good as any other trigger I've tried. I liked it so much I ordered two more during the 99.99 sale. Ordered September 7th and received yesterday. I was lucky enough to have my first one in time for a shoot I had coming the next weekend. My 150 yard groups were nothing to brag about but the trigger really tightened my groups. Thanks again. Dan

It looks more like a six week wait. But that's just fine considering the flood of sales they might have gotten from that sale. And by the time they're caught up, Black Friday should bring about more orders. ;-) |

After shooting it for a weekend in my match rifle in distance shooting competition, I thought it worked out just fine. Certainly on par with Geiselle G2S I usually use. I like how installs better, I'll say that (when it fits!). The capture parts make a lot easier install than a G2S.
If LaRue does another crazy $99 Black Friday sale - I'll probably grab another. |
