I didn't bother to adjust my scope for the last few rounds of Ammo I don't routinely shoot from the rifle. I suppose I could adjust it next time, but since I've been shooting groups and know the bullseye isn't an issue, I've left it so that it remains dead on with the load I prefer. Plus after that target I pushed out to 300 yards for the rest of the day, so no biggie.
In regards to the large pin colt MBT. I highly doubt anyone has messed with one yet, being that it is so new. |

"JK" stands for just kidding!!! The not hitting the bullseye comment is a long standing joke on this site.
Personally, while I think the trigger hole could safely be enlarged, I don't think the material around the hammer hole is thick enough to attempt it..... If this weren't a "registered assault weapon" AKA, legally has a mag release button instead of a bullet button. I would just buy a new lower and swap everything but the trigger into it. Too bad someone doesn't make a two piece pin set with the outer edges, large pin diameter and the inner portion small pin sized. You know something like the screws on a leather sling...... Something like this: Screw But better steel obviously, and with no threads showing...... I see a market for this!!!!! |

The trigger came with usual swag which is always appreciated, even though it was a gift. It was packaged perfectly and not just tossed into a ziplock bag like some others do. Initial impression is its too damn pretty to bury inside of my lower. Yes, it's just a trigger, but it is a work of art. No machine marks, no ugly black trigger here, it is truly a work of art. The install was super easy. I dropped the safety selector out as others suggested and the trigger dropped in with no troubles at all. Function tested flawlessly and the trigger felt extremely smooth and broke like glass with no overtravel. The reset is very crisp and noticeable, not as audible as my RRA 2 stage match, but also much smoother. After reset you have to depress the trigger approx 2 mm to hit the second stage again. The second stage feels like it requires less pull than the first stage which I like but does not break quite as light as an SSA-E, but a whole lot less than my RRA. The trigger itself is wide and flat which I love. It gives a nice positive pad for your finger and the sharper edges make it easier to keep finger placement the exact same shot after shot for precision work. My over all impression? it will be my go to trigger with all my non 3 gun builds, I will still stay with the SD3G for those unless Mark gets into the single stage game. I am thoroughly impressed and it ranks up there with the big trigger makers for sure. I'm giving it a big thumbs up and will be buying more for future builds. First impressions:
So, I yanked out a G SD3G (hated the trigger, seriously) and tossed in a shiny new MBT trigger from Mark. Right off the bat: Awesome wide trigger feel. I really dig it. Decreasing radius trigger bow. Great shit. Crisp break, very crisp. Reset is great as expected. Very clean take-up. No grit. No overtravel. Pull weights differ than some G triggers. Its like established drop in triggers went to finishing school, and had a nice trigger bow installed. Now I need 2 more. |

I took my new 16" 5.56 TOBR to the range yesterday that the wife got me for X-Mas. Lucky me it had the MBT trigger in it. I took my 2 boys with their ARs I built them which had ALG ACT triggers in them. I use the ACT in my 300Blk hunting pistol and really like that trigger so I knew my boys would be happy with it in their rifles. Well, after I let them shoot the TOBR they both turn to me and say they want that trigger in their rifles. Guess I need to have the wife get me another Larue gift card for my birthday so I can get my boys the MBT trigger.

I installed mine last night - all I can say is WOW! The break is very crisp, and feels fantastic; almost like a 1/8" glass rod breaking. I truly can't wait until I can get out to the range to test it out.

It was Nov.2 when we announced our MBT ... yet not a peep on TOS about it. You'd think a new trigger hitting the scene would ... ETA - I looked a little deeper |

Took a buddy out to shoot an AR for the first time a week or so ago...I let him do most of the shooting, but I put a couple mags through it so I could experience the trigger. In short...it was awesome. Very crisp break...and perfect weight. I think this one is gonna stay in the rifle and the SD-3G will go in a more performance oriented build.

The one installed in the 7.62 has just a taaaad more travel before break. I can hardly feel/see any movement on the one in the 5.56, when there's a tactile movement on the other... I'll switch the two out for best long-range results with the 7.62. ETA switched. They have a very surprising break, and the one with less travel has by far the most crisp snap I've felt. |
