Okay, this has got my enthusiasm back up after waiting , ......how long Clearly, good things come to those who wait. After looking at these pics, I plan to devote a bit of my precious time to getting my 400 and 500 yard berms built by Fall. Looks like I'm going to need them. These targets make shooting at 100 yds look so boring. |

This just keeps getting better! Can't wait to see what my Match grade barrel upgrade does! *Note* I want a 14.5" MG!

Trying to find out with my FFL what my 14.5 556 PredatOBR shot on the test target...

I sent my FFL a link to this thread, he is still in awe at the results he is seeing....

Damn Mark, if y'all keep this up sooner or later you're going to run out of room for improvement. What happens then?

Wow, love seeing the predatAR sexiness. Now, everyone else is going to be disappointed when I re-post my 0MOA target. I will make the promise to get professional marksmen training after. :D

I'd like to see a bunch of 18" 7.62'ers in a row, just to check consistency of similar barrels of course. No other motivation. but it definitely should be 18" 7.62's.

My just-arrived 16.1 pTAR is .659. Built 6/30 - did I get a Monday rifle??

so can i buy LaRue barrels to replace my LW barrels in my older LaRue rigs?

Damn, I'm a little jealous of all these .2xx's and .3xx's. I got a beautiful rifle the other day but not one of those fancy sub .5 test targets.

While the FGMM 77 gr ammo is generally good, there are not so good rounds occasionally. I have found this to be true on cases of this stuff I have previuosly purchased and shot. I roll my own now for consistancy. Take it out and shoot it with some good ammo and I'll bet you can shoot some of those sub .5 groups. |

Have to try some 77 gr. 62gr. match was good for 1.1 at best and 55gr. 5.56 xtac wouldn't shoot under 2". I'll keep hunting.

I'd be curious to know what Mark thinks the biggest variables are when comparing the results from the test targets he has posted, all in the .3xx and below range vs. what he said was the worst of the test targets, .8xx-.9xx range. I haven't owned any "Precision" 5.56 AR's and I would think that certainly anything under MOA out of a pencil profile barrel like on the tAR would be exceptional. Is it more a function of ammo variance and the shooter on any given day at the factory? Or is it that for whatever reason some rifles just end up with a little more mojo than others and are just inherently more accurate?

.121 Amazing! |

Mark I've got a lot of LT's sitting in the safe now but that .121 would look awfully nice if it's associated to the email Juli sent me a little bit ago.

I bet a batch of OBR lights would shoot even better groups. *wink wink*

I received my 5.56 16" PredatAR test fired on June 27, 2014 measuring .092"; yes I said .092"
|
|
How about some 7.62 OBR's? How long before you start running some of those off again Mark?
|

Mark, my Predatars test target says 100gr FGMM was used. What gives! lol
