They were asking Larue's price on website. My buddy bought one. He sent a text saying "thanks butthole". He too has a Predatar on order for 1 1/2 yrs now. I think he made the right choice.

Just pick up one at Riflegear for $2429 with SF brake.
I'll sell mine that I had on order since June 2012 when it comes in. http://www.riflegear.com/p-1576-larue-tactical-predatobr-556-145-rifle-w-sf-brake.aspx |

It's very tempting. Just got the 14.5" 7.62 and it's not completely off the credit card for another few days. Better let the checking account recover first. Maybe next year.

For those that has ordered from riflegear before, did you have to give your CC# over the phone? It says to call to place an order, just a little concerned with giving out my CC# versus doing it on a website. Guess I'm bit paranoid.

Now that I have the 14.5" 5.56 PredatOBR ordered, I need to figure out which scope to set it up with. I am thinking it will mostly be used suppressed as a handy varmint hunting rig but I want to keep it somewhat true to its "tactical" roots. Maybe a Nightforce NXS Compact 2.5-10 or something with a little more magnification. I would still like to keep the gun fairly light so a decent compact scope would be ideal. I really like the Mk6 3-18 scopes but that may be too much for this application, I am not sure. What are you guys running for optics, etc on your guns? Anyone else using a 14.5" rig as a short hunting gun? Any problems with ballistics on the .223 out of the shorter barrel out to say 200+ yards? Thanks!

HOLY CRAP!! I am finally a PredatOBR owner!! My OBR order is 92XXX and my tOBR order is way down at 177XXX (did not know about the pre-order). So, I was "Powerball dream shopping" on Gunbroker, and I saw a 5.56 14.5" tOBR in black with the Surefire brake I wanted. I checked on the seller with LT, and they said Disruptive Products was as dealer back when their was a dealer program. The seller said they had three 14.5" tOBRs. The initial bid price was only $200 more than my order from LT. The closer it got to the end of the auction, the more I began to rationalize spending an extra $200 for the rifle that is very far down the production list. Well, I pulled the trigger, and the rifle came in today!! So, I, one of the biggest fanboy posers with a shitload of LT gear, now actually owns a LT rifle!! And props to Disruptive Products for making the whole process smooth as glass!! My first impression is that this rifle is a mechanical work of art. I have a KAC SR-15E3 Mod 1 carbine and shot A2's back in the Marines, but this thing is on a whole other level. The mill work is beautiful, and its tolerances are amazing. It actually took me a while to get the upper receiver off of the lower. Even once I pulled out the retaining pins, the upper would not separate from the lower with considerable effort. Even turning it upside down did nothing. Try that with an old A2 out of the armory. There is absolutely NO play between the upper and lower receiver. It is so tight, it might as well be one welded piece of metal. The trigger is awesome! The second stage is perfect and crisp. It's like snapping a twig. Absolutely no regrets and as happy as 15 year old boy in a whore house with $5,000 in his pocket. I had originally sought to get one rifle (either the tOBR or the OBR, whichever one was available first). Well, that plan is gone. I may drop my order for the tOBR, but I want that OBR. http://i.imgur.com/xBIXIV6.jpg?1 Now, how do I get my swag? View Quote I like you bought mine from a dealer. Email Juli with a copy of your receipt and serial number and ask very nicely for some swag. They sent me a hat, rub and some very cool swag. |
