Quick question. Any of you with '09 HH did they ever come with a shiny wire hook, pre-installed? I just received one sold as NIP, and everything appears to be NIP but the wire is already hooked into the top and looped toward the tail, with no indications in the plastic of any other wire location, and original staples. Thanks! View Quote yes, there are w/ & w/o '.com that have silver hangers preinstalled |

I was very lucky to get two dillos from both Marks and signed. Thank you both. The dillos are not for sale! These will be in my wifes collection.
According to Mr. Larue, there was only a handful that were signed. The first dillo was also signed in the back by Mr. LaRue. Thanks it means a lot for my wife and me. Love your products. Quoted:

Sorry to hear that, I got bit once on this forum so I CYA now. 99.9% of people are GTG. TL/DR: Scammers are in the hobby and that makes it no fun any longer. I'm going to gently disagree with you. I started my collection as it was a way to get away from some of the other collecting hobbies where the charlatans were becoming bold. Shaving or recoloring sports cards, repackaging sports figures, claiming a "correct" M1 Garand is in fact an "original," etc., etc. DIllos were fun back when, we traded them between ourselves and in a somewhat closed community - we knew each other - and we dealt fairly with each other. That changed over time and people came into the "hobby" for profit. Once they did, everything changed and the Spirit was affected. Look around and see how many of the original dillo gangsters are still active. Some grow out of the hobby and I would submit some others are as frustrated as I am. People will always try and profit from the graciousness of LaRue, evidenced by the free for all that is SHOT or other events such as Modern Day Marine. Others have profited for specific acts of kindness (again for dillos they received gratis) by selling what they received. There are people who are repacking dillos to increase their price, , etc., etc. I've simply had enough and will move on to something that it enjoyable. I've never sold a dillo, but now I will part out my collection. For the record, I will not be selling any dillos gifted to me and I will continue to uphold the Spirit by gifting dillos, recovering special dillos and helping Brothers in need. D3 out. |
