i don't believe it is all speculation because on the LT website the verbiage changed on the description of the barrels. LW50 was taken out of the description.

I'm going to have to check my references, but I believe the only mass produced polygon riflled barrels are made by Lothar Walther, and Novesky in their stainless line. I can't recall right now if Novesky is still using Pac Nor barrels, and I believe ER Shaw used to provide barrels for Colts.

Placeholder for future edits.

ETA: Let's not forget to combine a .223 Wylde with 1/8 when thinking of who combines that with polygonal rifling.

In-house is possible, if not now, in the future... by removing a specific manufacturer of their blanks from the marketing materials, they have flexibility as they move forward...

It is not speculation, the LW-50 barrel has not been sent to larue for the last 9 months, this is a fact. Now if they are making it in house that would be great for quality control but they will not tell you at this time where they are getting the barrels from.

Just out of curiosity where did you hear LT has not received LW-50 barrels in 9 months?

IIRC Noveske has his own people running their barrels on Pac-Nor equipment. Or at least they did at one time.

OK just do this call larue tomorrow and ask them about the LW-50 barrels and ask them what they are using now for barrels. If you get the run around do your research, I cannot tell you how I found out about this issue.

Just more vague-ness and lack of questions being answered, but people were actually trying to be helpful in that thread - not trolling like this guy.

Regardless of where the barrels come from, LT rifles are built to meet certain specifications for accuracy, reliability, wear resistance, etc. If LT is confident enough to ship a product with a new barrel, it will meet those specifications.

Odd, I better recheck that pallet that came in from them a couple weeks back ... but I swear I felt pretty confident I could have slain an army of dumbazzes with what I looked down upon in those crates.

That got they're attention! How about selling predatOBR uppers or barrels?!

Figured I'd take the opportunity to ask.

Thanks. I really enjoy my OBR and since my serial number is below 200 I know mine has one of the original barrels. I was just curious what they were rollin out with now.

Must have. All I can say is their riles are beautiful. Just received my Stealth and I'm so happy with the Texas pride and quality. I havent shot it yet, need to recope from the hit my wallet took. I saved up just to get a Larue, and its sweet.
