I sent an email in to add a billet lower to my OBR order and was told that the billet lowers are no longer available. just a heads up.
ETA this is how i feel about that: :( ETA2: the official answer from LaRue is later on in this thread. ".....There may be a time when lowers are offered again...we have taken them off the website before. " |
|
????????????? Did they say not until Orders for Complete Rifles are caught up, or not available ever again??? |
|
"Thank you for your interest in a LaRue lower. We unfortunately do not offer these anymore. Sorry for any inconvenience."
that's the cut and paste of the email i received. ETA: I asked them the same thing. i'm waiting to hear back. |

Tag for relevant interest!
Edit: They are no longer available on the website! |

Tag for relevant interest! Edit: They are no longer available on the website! yep. it was there last night when i sent in my order. today it's gone! feel free to reminisce: use googles cached version! :) |

Wow...
I must say I feel like the luckiest guy in the world then. I've been waiting to pull the trigger on an LT lower for months, but my local (SoCal) dealer has been out. So (just yesterday) I got an email notifying me of new availability and I set the ball in motion. Well, seems that they only got one, and it's now mine! Yeah for me :) Looks like I got in just under the wire. Must be a sign that my new rifle [build] is meant to be. A.W.D. |
|
i got a reply: seems this is only a temp measure. although they didn't give the reason why they are suspending them.
go figure, something i want, i can't have! well i have a larue lower but it's attached to my 16" tAR..... |
|
Well, I can understand if it's a temp measure...
Just think, how many folks have already placed orders for full-up rifles, and then add in those who are scrambling (like me) to get their orders in before the prices increase... |
|
I feel lucky to have 2!! One LaRue branded SMOS and one LaRue.
|
|
Yes it is true.
LaRue (tm) will no longer offering lowers at this time. All back orders will be shipped and filled. www.facebook.com/jptensports has several on order that will be filled. |
|
I really hope it's just a stopgap and not permanent. Otherwise I'll be forced to build my SBR out of the only Larue lower I have. Thus eliminating the ARFCOM "get both" doctrine and rupturing the fabric of the space time continuum.

I'm glad I ordered mine 2 weeks ago.
Just to celebrate my good fortune, I just ordered a 12" OBR 5.56. |
|
|
Damnit! I was going to put an order in by the end of the week, before prices went up. I would've already put it in, but I needed to check if my FFL was on file and couldn't get a hold of him.
|
|
WHEW! I just placed an order the day before yesterday. I had a lower added to the cart and went all the way through the check-out process. I got to the last screen and thought, what the heck, I'm sure I will need another one sooner or later, so I added another one. I'm feeling pretty good about that decision right about now.
If you remember though, about six months ago, maybe more, they removed the lowers from the website and said they were no longer available. When we called, we were told they were just getting back orders and such caught up. Not too long after, they were back. With the thousands of tOBR's. tARS, OBR's and then those building Stealths, I can only imagine how many lowers they are going through. I cant see LT taking the lowers away forever, but its probably a good move to catch up on their rifle orders. Im just hoping these new lowers that were ordered are "13" free. |

Hopefully this is just temp till they catch up with orders. Or they might go back to how they were a few years where only if you had ordered a Stealth Upper you were able to order a lower. If they are gone for good I am really glad that I have one in the safe.

Man, this sucks. I really hope this is temporary... If not, what am I supposed to mate my Stealth upper on when I win one in the UHFO contest....

I really wanted to order one or two more, but I'm trying to be good and not put much more on credit, so I was saving up the cash... This very much saddens me.... Oh well, woulda been awhile before I could save up for that 16" Upper I wanted to put on it... Maybe this saves me money... |

Well that sucks. I was looking at them online last night and thought about ordering one and asking about free shipping since I'm local.
Looks like It's time for a new Mega billet lower now :( |

They USED to offer local pickup on a case-by-case basis though. Probably not on lowers. |

Well, at least with non-FFL products. I don't believe you could pick up a lower or complete rifle under any circumstances. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
