All this being said, I don't understand why folks buy Discrete Covert rifle cases in "militaryish" colors...

Maybe its for the size and not for the ""Covert" or "Discreet" of the case???

Agreed

The LT logo ruins this case for me. With the old one you could just take a seam ripper and take off the velcro. Not sure what you could do with this.

Me thinks the logo is on the inside...

Looked again. It appears you're right.

I still don't get buying a "covert" case in tactical colors.

It was my impression that quite a few people bought it BECAUSE it had the LT logo on it.
Keep in mind that my opinion is worth what you paid for it.

Agree. LT is a brand that screams accuracy, dependability and quality. I love the LT logo. As far as color goes, I personally like the "militaryish" colors, but hey, to each his own.

I find that the tan/coyote/earth colors look better long term as they tend to stay consistent when covered with dust and dirt.
Keep in mind that my opinion is worth what you paid for it.

I like these cases because they seem like they would handle nicely due to their size. What ever the color I think they scream gun in public and when they are in the bright colors I think they attract more attention.

I can recommend Linda at Camotech.com. I've had her do several custom embroidery jobs in the past. All the jobs have been quick, except for one that got held up by an order for a deployed unit. She states on her website that deployed comes first.
Keep in mind that my opinion is worth what you paid for it.
