Looks like I am in the process of cancelling an order for a 18" 5.56 predatar today. Order was placed first of December and today I was told I may or may not see it by April.

Some guy at the plant told me they have a big .mil contract in house. Understandably, civilian orders are on the back burner. Talked to my dealer a few minutes ago. Told him if he gets the same story, just cancel the thing.

Hated to do so, wife ordered that rifle as my Christmas present. She was more excited to see it arrive than I even was.

I needed to have it shipped and ready to shoot the TX 3 gun championship in April. Now I have to go another route. Dang!

Good news: Wife would not have any part of my cancelling the order. Looks like i will be waiting it out and going with what I have for the big match.

I think you will be happy with that decision in the end... I've had to wait on longer than quoted on 2 out of 3 of my LT rifles so far, and have no regrets at all... I will say that being more proactive in updating folks on their orders when they go beyond the time quoted would be a good thing, both for the customer, but probably them too... I have no problem waiting, particularly if it is for parts out of their control, or orders for our warfighters, but commo is king!

When you guys ordered do they charge the full amount to the card that day or do they charge when they are ready to ship?

I think the LaRue policy is to not charge until they are ready to ship your stuff.

I ordered a 7.62 Predatar today and got the same 16 week quote.
The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, “Baa.”
Until the wolf shows up.
Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog. (Lt. Col. Dave Grossman)

Damn! I ordered my 18" in October and they still don't know when they'll ship. I'm jealous.

Ordered my 7.62 18" Predator on 12/8. Picked it up today and am very happy. Will place my order for a 5.56 next week. Sometimes it's hard to be patient––in this case, it has been worth it. My only regret? I was hoping it would ship with steak seasoning––I cant get enough of that stuff!

I ordered my 16in OBR 5.56 on 31 Jan. It was delivered to my FFL on 23 Feb. Unfortunately, I can't pick it up until May when I return from Afghanistan. (yes, I know the rules. I will post picks as soon as I get it)

I believe it takes the LaResistance a bit longer to smuggle rifles behind enemy lines.
