Put the A2 on mine and am ordering the vortex is this the rifle the guy sold on the EE? I asked him to post the target and never got a response |

Here's how my OBR is set up now.
The LT-152 mounts bring the NF 2.5-10x32 about as low as you can go and still fit a rear BUIS underneath the scope. The rear BUIS is a KAC 600m micro, which just barely fits. I have an ACI mounted just forward of the rear ring, and the lump atop the handguard is the new VTAC Low Profile Sling Mount (LPSM). The OBR has been flawless so far with the LR20 mags. ETA: Better pic! |

My 16" OBR arrived today. One quick detail: the rear takedown pin detent spring is captured by a small screw, so mounting a MIAD is no problem and requires no modifications. Nice! Here's the OBR with a Vltor Emod stock, Nightforce 2.5-10x32 mil/mil zero stop in SPR-S mount, MIAD grip, and TangoDown receiver extension sling mount. Cheekweld in this configuration is acceptable but not ideal. I'll shoot it and see how it goes. Just in case, there's room above the rear BUIS for the scope to get down even lower. http://personal.visualitymedia.com/personal/bigbore/obr16_950.jpg And here's the unholy triumvirate of .308s that currently lives in my safe (sorry about the poor pic). The OBR appears larger because it is in the foreground, but in reality all three rifles are roughly the same size. http://personal.visualitymedia.com/personal/bigbore/308_950.jpg If you could only have one, which one would it be? Just curious... |

Better pics to follow... http://personal.visualitymedia.com/personal/obr/obr_aac_900.jpg Very innovative, that mount is originally designed to mount an Aimpoint. Why not use a LT719 30mm ring mounts? Wouldn't that work with a NF 2.5-10x32 as well? |

You're right - the LT-152s are RAS II mounts for the Aimpoint M2/M3 series. Their height, however, is perfect for the NF scope. The LT719s are too low to use in combination with a rear BUIS. I also prefer the vertical split rings and the locking levers, neither of which are present on the LT719s. |

Which PRS model is needed for the OBR? Is it the AR15 or the SR25/AR10 type? I have an OBR that I am currently using with a SOPMOD collapsible stock but want to add a PRS. Thanks and great looking setup you have there!

Finally picked up the OBR after the 1+ year wait and it was worth every minutes. Except for the nicely fitted Pelican case that came with the MK 11 Mod 0 that I used to own, the OBR beats it in EVERY category, hands down. The test target shows .680 MOA, vs. 1.12 MOA with the Stoner. A huge surprise is how light the OBR is. I didn't put it on a scale, but I'd say it is roughly the same as an A2 HBAR in .223. I could pick up the OBR with one hand and flip it from side to side without damaging myself or the rifle. Something I could not do with the Stoner and the Tac-20 that I used to own. Mark definitely have a winner here. ArmaLite and Knight's should be very concerned about their market share on .308 AR once Mark get up to speed... As delivered... I was wearing the hat... http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc207/fc-nova/IMG_2152.jpg All dressed up and ready for the range... http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc207/fc-nova/IMG_1560.jpg The fit and finish of the bolt and carrier put some of my semi-custom 1911 to shame... Not to mention Texas-Spec. Oversized, Texas-Spec. http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc207/fc-nova/IMG_1567.jpg |

PRS for AR10. You have to swap out the buffer extension tube since you're running a collapsible stock.

I wasn't aware you can swap buffer tubes from one to another. |

Gonna be ordering one shortly. Shame it will sit at the house until I get back. It'd be a handy companion here

NARC45ACP SWEET PICS!! Now , we need a tutorial on how to reliably cut down the 20s to 15. Also need to know how to make 5 round capacity mags to comport with hunting regs Thanks! It's fairly easy to cut down the mags after the initial measurements and testing. Each rib on the 20LR mag (starting from the first visible rib from the bottom coincides with approximately 5 rounds. To make 15-rounders you basically have to cut through the 1st visible rib from the bottom. 5-rounders are conceivable and would be flush against the magwell, I just need to adjust for the spring. I wish I had photos but I had a brain fart and just busted through all 8 mags without taking pics. I checked the capacity afterwards and they fit exactly 15 rounds. I also did function checks with both the bolt open and closed, they're good to go. I'll make sure to take pics with the next batch I'm going to do. |

Very nice! And I don't want to take pics like Fingar, I want to have all those cool accessories he has to go with my OBR. Especially the night vision, as the pigs have gotten smarter (nocturnal) around here lately.
